The cocktails at the bar I visited in Taipei were quite flavorful, but unfortunately, they were too sweet, which hid any complexity they may have had. While the drinks were enjoyable, I couldn't help but feel like they were missing that extra something that would have made them truly exceptional. That being said, the ambience of the bar was fantastic. It had a great atmosphere for a first date or a casual night out with friends, and the decor, inspired by the prohibition era, was a nice touch. The old building that housed the bar also added to the character of the space. While the service was okay, I did have to get up to the bar to order drinks, which was a bit inconvenient. It also seemed like the staff wasn't particularly keen on serving tourists, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, I feel like the star of this bar is definitely its ambience rather than its cocktails or service. While I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this bar again for the drinks, I would definitely recommend it for its great atmosphere and unique decor. Price per person $800–1,000 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5

City North is a bar that feels out of this world. Being that this is my second trip to Taiwan this year and this being my second time visiting the bar, I’m in love. The atmosphere and ambience is second to none, and I’ve met some of the most amazing mixologists I have in my life. I recommend coming here during the day for their speciality coffee cocktails as they are unbeatable here in Taipei. With being a non-coffee drinker myself, I couldn't believe how amazing each creation brings to the table with flavor. Hands down my favorite bar here in the city and I only hope I get the chance to visit during the night before I head back home. 10/10 across the board! Tucked away from the streets is this chill coffee cocktail bar. Great atmosphere for an evening chill. Cocktails are very well concocted and flavours come together rather well. We love all the variations we had. I’d recommend dropping by. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
Love at the first sight! Historical building with tons of vintage stuff, quiet alley, calm spirit. There is something so soothing to be here. As you walk up to the the building, the magic unfold. The moment that you open the door, the air fill with this aroma that’s mix with woody and tea roasting and maybe something else, it really invites you in to a different world. Classic jazz lightly lingered in the background, dimly lit light, it take you right back in time. Cocktail itself is also delicious, it’s just a lovely moment for us! Thanks for taking care of all the details so we get to escape our busy life for a drink of time!

The city north cafe & bar is a gem hiding secretly in the old town Taipei. Took some time to locate the entrance when I first visited the bar. They offer a wide selection of coffe and tea inspired cocktails and desert. Apart from the drinks and desert, the atmosphere in the bar is luxurious vintage yet relaxing. Almost need to stop by the bar every time I have to make a trip to Dadaocheng area. Price per person $600–800 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

After climbing the stairs of the interior patio of an old historical building in the old town, you will find yourself in front of a dimly lit café-bar peaking behind a set of inside windows. The theme of the establishment is classy and old-fashioned with its dark wooden furniture, leather seats, and well presented and polite staff. They have a very big menu of coffee-flavoured cocktails that sadly I hadn't had the chance to try yet as it was too early in the day. Their tiramisu is one of the best in town, and the Espresso Tonic had the perfect balance of flavours and was the perfect refreshing drink to start the afternoon. If you come to 小城外CityNorth in the evening, it will feel more like a warm and cosy speakeasy style bar. It is definitely worth to try it at different times in the day.

Visited here at 1pm on a Saturday, the location is kinda hidden but not super difficult to find. Vibe was super chill, and the decor was very classy. I don't really drink coffee but even I can tell that the coffee quality is good. I didn't try the coffee cocktails since it was still early but will definitely give it a try next time.

quaint little cocktail bar which serves many nice cocktails. I had to come back twice to try more. their tiramisus are good! wonderful service staff 😄
I really enjoyed the ambience of the place, it's fairly unique and easy to chat over a few drinks at night. The interior courtyard has a vintage Taiwanese appearance and the area all around the bar itself maintains a very comfortable and relaxing antique feel. I came here with the friend who recommended the place to me, and we decided to try a couple of their signature cocktails: The first was a tasty, but smooth sake-based cocktail with a peach flavor. It was light but still had plenty of alcohol for the price. The second was a somewhat strong, gin-based apple and cinnamon cocktail. If you've ever wanted to drink apple pie and get buzzed, this is a good choice. My friend couldn't finish it because it was a little too strong for her, so I helped. Overall, the cocktails were fantastic. Will definitely come again to try some of their coffee and dessert.
innovative cocktails, excellent coffee. make sure to taste their tiramisu (I recommend to order them, when you call to book a table). not only with a very cosy atmosphere for a cocktail or a drink in the evening, but also a very calm and cosy place for an afternoon tea or a drink with friends in the afternoon. Price per person $200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Taiwanese Whisky
