I work just down the road from this place. Finally thought I'd give it a try in spite of the warnings of my coworkers. We looked up the menu online which had prices listed on it called and ordered the food. Ordered the brisket basket comes with a side and on the online menu it said it was $10 which I thought was a really good price. Got down there to pay for it and it was 18 something. I thought okay I'll give it a try took my food back to where I work open it up it was pitiful absolutely pitiful. The brisket was pretty much flavorless and leathery. It reminded me of English cooking boiled meat. My hush puppies were cold and not very good. All in all don't believe the online pricing and don't think you're going to get good food.

My sister-in-law had her wedding yesterday and this unprofessional place “catered” it. They dropped the food off that’s it!! No serving utensils, no way to keep the food warm, and guests had to set the food up. The bridal party took a few pictures after the ceremony which led to the guests setting up the food. When we walked into the reception the bride and groom’s plate were made immediately, then everyone made their plates. Thankfully the people who own the venue and had a few utensils we could use. Needless to say the food was cold. Then she received a call today wondering where the food was because they came to the venue to pick it up. Why he thought the food that was bought for this wedding was theirs is beyond me. I’m hoping that this helps another bride looking to use this place to “cater”. Keep looking. You do not want this aggravation and added stress on your wedding day. Food: 1 Service: 1

I ordered pulled pork plate with 2 sides. My order did not come with a bread. (would have been nice). I ordered mac and cheese they were out. The beans more than likely were straight out of a can. The fries were natural cut. ( a little under cooked, soggy). The portion of pulled pork was small. Service was adequate. Atmosphere was nice. I was the only one there throughout most of my meal. I was at a wedding this weekend where they were “catered” the food! Their idea of catering was dropping off cold food with no way to serve the food! There was only 1 type of bbq sauce and it was like pouring water on the chop. I don’t recommend there services….. according to the wedding party they didn’t make things right!!! Negative stars!!! My carryout experience here on 8/27/20 was disappointing, to say the least. My sons' grilled cheese sandwiches were burnt to inedibility, their hush puppies tasted old, my okra had the same "old stale" quality to the serving, and my mother's white coleslaw was essentially mush, without any actual form. I even arrived about ten minutes late to when I was told my order would be ready, and I still had a five minute wait. Maybe this was an off night, and I'm hopeful that it was, considering they have excellent reviews otherwise.

Excellent service, tastey food, JUST RIGHT, the "brisket burgers" are out of this world, must stop in!!!! I do not normally do this, but in this instance I am compelled to ADD to my review; The wife and I ordered the brisket pate and the pulled pork plate, to go. After getting home and reheating them we were very pleasantly suprised 😳 They are even now as GOOD as fresh, EXCELLENT JOB, beautiful bark and flavor, all I can reiterate is ABSOLUTELY GREAT🙌🏻💯🎯 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

I arrived less than an hour before they closed, which I hate doing. But the customer service was great, the food is always great, and the price is good. I fed my family of 3 adults and 2 children for $40. And I mean, well fed, with really good food. I picked up a pound of bbq with sides to take home for the weekend. It was wonderful! We heated up our bbq and hush puppies in the oven for a few minutes. We enjoyed baked beans and bbq slaw too. We also love the vinegar based bbq sauce; homemade. We loved it all. We will be back!! 1st time there and I went for the brisket They had no brisket so I got the pulled pork, I wanted slaw for my side, no slaw made! The pork had a good flavor but it could have been less “chewy” the fries were cold and probably sat for awhile in the kitchen.
