The restaurant is unassuming but clean. The man working the bar / restaurant was very welcoming and friendly. Service was quick. I ordered the oysters and chips. The oysters were cooked perfectly, they were nice small ones, but there were enough to fill me up. The chips are home cut potatoes, also very good. It came with homemade garlic bread, also super yummy. My husband had a club sandwich which was huge! He said it was great. It's certainly not the same as it was. Going here was a family tradition, so it was disappointing to realize that out of the 4 of us, the only thing we enjoyed were the fries. Always our favorite spot on the coast! Usual destination for day trips/lunch at the coast. Open Christmas Day!! Thank you, thank you! So special! Excellent chowder, halibut and crab cakes! Have tried several times. Chowder is mostly potato soup, few clams. Service is usually indifferent and slow. Twice in a row they forgot items on our takeout and no apologies when we had to go back for the missing items. Will not be returning. Cute gifts for kids, It has a small eating area, friendly staff, and pretty good food. I ordered a bowl of chowder to go, but it was about the size of a cup and not a creamy chowder, but it tasted ok. Not worth the price for the size.
