An amazing place to visit. The statue is 40m tall and you can go up all the way to his neck and have a 360° view. In time to come, there'll be at least 200 gers that will be built. Plots have already been bought and soon it will be filled with tourism. The statue of Chinggis is higher than the Statue of Liberty.

Incredible view point and great education centre for the history of Mongolia and its emptier, great to learn about the history and Chinggis khan. Wasn’t busy at all when we were there. There are souvenir shops and cafes as well as a restaurant with bar inside but just seeing the huge statue gleaming in the beautiful sunshine against the bright blue sky and snow was amazing.
Wow! Most stunning place nearby UB! I didn't realize you can try on ancient armour inside the museum, and that they have camels + eagles you can interact with. A beautiful monument to Mongolian history 🙏🏽

They were preparing for Xmas and NYE party so there was an ice rink in the middle of the square with decorations around. The square itself was a nice place to visit
I am so appreciate to visit today. It was really nice with a lot of exploration to see. Fresh air and calm place ;)

Definitely a must if you visit Mongolia!! It's much more than just a monument. You have museum, place to try traditional dress, souvenira, camel riding, and amazing views
Crazy huge statue (almost as tall as the Statue of Liberty!). The only weird thing was the entrance… it was oddly confusing how to purchase admission and if you’re not vigilant, locals will just cut in front of you. But once you climb the tiny stairs to the top, it’s worth it. Also there’s a large boot inside (weirdest thing ever) and large golden whip (also bizarre). Camels and horses can be ridden outside for a fee. Have a local ask for the price quote if you’re a foreigner otherwise they’ll quote you “white man price.” (Wish they’d just post the prices instead of the hassle of being conned) 💰

I would like to share more about the communications for tourists. There are no local bus till statue from Ulaanbaatar throughout the day. Only veey morning and late evening. So I went there during the day, I took a bus for Nalaikh from Ulaanbaatar, that's easy avilable. From there, I did hitchhiking. Hitchhiking is easy in Mongolia because mostly people own a car here. The statue area is not so much crowded. It's clean and maintained. The ticket price is 20000MNT per person.
Big statue, very impressive. Can be busy though, but worth a stop on the way to Terelj National Park. Also can hold Golden Eagles and ride camels.
I was surprised at how big this statue was and it was cool to be able to go to the top of the horses head and take a picture in front of him. The museum and shops here are very small, so we only spent 30 minutes here. There are various outdoor activities you can while here, but they are more touristy at this location.
