Excellent food, menu is perfect for the geographical location of Italy they are replicating, which I might say they do very well. Small place, but they really work hard to get you in quick, use the reservation system, they got us in with 5 minutes or our time. Service is excellent and food was amazing, kitchen is upfront, which is actually better than you think. The staff works hard and seem to have a wonderful attitude. This place is wonderful, Kudos to DZ Restaurants very nice work! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
My fiancé and I went for her birthday dinner. As part of DZ restaurants they offer $20 off a $70 purchase once during your birthday month if you are signed up on their website. We started with the grilled octopus appetizer. Unfortunately, the octopus was quite chewy and the beans served with it were almost raw. Our waitress was kind enough to offer us an alternative appetizer without charge. The carpaccio was excellent. For entrees, we both had ordered pasta dishes. They were both quite nice, however our waitress was so busy with so many tables, we were without anything to drink, including water, during the meal. Overall, the food was relatively good, but I would recommend ordering something simple for the price vs quality. They are understaffed which unfortunately made our experience much less enjoyable. We will not be returning but hope in the future they will be able to improve food quality and service. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

We had our firm holiday party last night and from the very beginning working with Carina they went above and beyond for us. Carina was very responsive and accommodating to our 14 person group. We had the semi-private space near the bar and all had an absolutely fantastic time. We all enjoyed the oval shape of the table so everyone can see and talk with each other, along with having our own private section. John, our server was incredible. He went above and beyond for our group constantly and was extremely personable. We had appetizers, salad, entrees and dessert, drinks and everything was phenomenal! The only reason I am giving the food 4 stars is because I did have a few bones in my salmon and told the young woman bussing our tables packaging up leftovers and unfortunately she didn't react the way I would have hoped. Other than that interaction everything else was great. I highly recommend having your next work group gathering here. We drive all the way from Syracuse several times a year for this authentic Italian (not Sicilian) menu. Service is always amazing and food is perfection! Chef's kisses all around! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+

Wasn't crowed but was very loud, hard to have a conversation. Food was good fresh but pricey I expected it though. Atmosphere is pub-like not intimate all. Depends on what you're looking for I suppose. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

The food and service were excellent. The original carpaccio was superb; the octopus was very tough; the filet tips in the risotto were good; the tiramisu was tasty. However, the noise level was uncomfortably high. I believe they added all these tables to fit more people in, but we couldn't hear ourselves talk. We thoroughly enjoyed the Happy Hour as drinks & servers were top notch & dinner was the same. Appetizer & main course were delicious and we couldn't have enjoyed EVERYTHING any more! Also, it was Skidmore College parents' weekend & the staff was amazing at taking care of all of us!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Mezzanine Alla Vodka with Sausage

Food: The risotto was excellent. It had a great taste and texture with attention to detail (alternating tailed and de-tailed shrimp, this made the dish just a little more fun). The fried calamari was decent but tasted a little too fried and not as much like seafood as I would have liked. But a good cocktail sauce made this a non-issue. The Gin Pear Spritz mocktail was excellent (happy Sober October). It had a nice balanced flavor that wasn't too syrupy as many mocktails can be. Service: The wait staff was fantastic. They came around often enough that you never had to wait long to put in an order, but also weren't around so often that it was an interruption. That is a difficult balance to achieve but they did well. They were polite and the service was surprisingly fast for how busy it was on a Friday night. Props to the waiters and kitchen staff as well. Atmosphere: This is where some points were lost. The inside of the establishment is beautiful and well decorated, following a nice traditional Italian theme. Upon walking through the main entrance, you are greeted by the host and witness a nice, open concept with a view of the kitchen. This fostered a welcoming feeling of transparency. However, the room in which we were seated had rather poor acoustics. This made enjoying conversation and company a noticeable challenge. I found myself straining my neck trying to get closer to my party in order to hear what they were saying. The spacing between tables was rather close together which didn't help the case. This could heed one's ability to enjoy a peaceful night of pleasantries with friends and acquaintances. All in all, it was a positive experience and I will be dining at Chianti in the future. Props to the harmonious efforts of the kitchen, wait staff and ownership to create such a fine dining establishment. We were in town for my nephew's wedding and had been to an hors d'oeuvres reception earlier in the evening. I had fallen in love with Chianti's menu (so many carpaccios and risottos!) so we ate lightly at the buffet to leave room for dinner. We were seated as requested in the small outside patio. Everyone who came to our table was friendly, knowlegble, and helpful. All questions were thoughtfully and personally answered. We shared a large Del Chianti Carpaccio and all agreed that it was the best we'd ever eaten - so buttery and rich; the quality of the meat shown through with no extraneous items littering the plate. Both husband and son got pastas and raved over the sauces. I had the Magretto All’ Amarena - done just right and the cherries were delicious. Regretfully we did not have room for a risotto or dessert, and more regretfully it's unlikely we'll ever be back that way.
