Everything is cozy. Sitting by the window, enjoying the sea view. Delicious cuisine. The most impressive dish for me is the fish. Amazing bite with the sauce. We must come here again to check the new menu.

This is my one of my top recommendations for people looking for a special dining experience in Taiwan. I’ve been here twice and was blown away with the food both times. The flavors are always uniquely combined in a rich and seasonally appropriate fashion. It’s a beautiful area as well and the price was well worth the meal.

Exclusive place for lunch or dinner, beautiful setting, you eat what you get with a set menu of 7 courses including desert. You won't find what you eat here anywhere else. Absolutely special & most delicious, meticulously prepared by young & dedicated Taiwanese chef Nick & his charming wife Vivi. But don't be late, serving starts on the hour, otherwise it affects serving everyone else so they just cannot wait or let you in if you're late, and it's bookings only. You really don't want to miss this deliciously & carefully prepared food with very generous portions. Nick & Vivi's deserves a Michelin Star to begin. Thank you for a most memorable lunch.
Made the reservation unexpectedly, but really worthy! Every dish was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxing and cozy. Will definitely try different menu in the future ♥️
Very impressive local chef mixing traditional ingredients with modern style and technique in a totally creative way! The whole experience is art and the chef and his wife are great hosts! Highly recommended! (There's only 1 set menu that cannot be changed, reservation required, cash only.)
Probably my expectations were too high, so many good reviews.
I respect people with own ideas and concept. But the ideas should be verified and tested.
Most of the dished I'd describe as interesting but once is more than enough. Some dish didn't have a main component, some food was hidden under decoration ( fish on white plate under a lot of unseasoned daikon). The fish was not hot, overlooked (i guess steamed) and with skin.seabrass skin steamed tastes badly fishy. The sauce with fish was delicious, would perfectly fit with pasta like some ravioli, but for me was not that right with fish.
Duck breast was good, but the sauce was not my taste. The black sesame paste didn't fits with anything on the plate.
The dessert was a chocolate soup. So far I could taste it was cacao powder soup with some chocolate flakes, cherry and mochi, covered by cotton candy,, funny look but I wouldn't order that again.
The wine list is not understandable, list of grapes but no word about the wineyard, producer. How to make a proper choice?
The entire lunch we got with The restaurant is quite gorgeous, and I do think if you are a expert on taste delicious food, this place is definitely worth to have a visit. Be on time, and follow all of the reservation guidelines, you will be impressed.
Doesn’t worth the trouble.
If you wanna try a Chef who thinks he is Picasso of Taitung gastronomy, that’s a restaurant for you!
Creativity alone doesn’t equal quality cuisine.
Service is the worst of Taiwan
If you wanna get yell at because you are 5min late, go there!
Creative but lack a lot fundamentals. I get what they are trying to do. Imitating some fine-ding places outside of Taiwan. But lots things are missing. The progress of the menu, the understanding of ingredients, not there at all. It’s good to be creative only when the food is actually good
What a wonderful experience. When traveling along the East Coast of Taiwan, don’t miss a chance to stop by this gem of a restaurant. The food was fantastic, lovingly prepared by a hard working couple. I don’t take pictures of my food, but I made an exception when I saw the amberjack on a bed of cream, topped with different shades of green. Beautifully executed.
