The food was just mediocre . After reading the amazing reviews i thought let's give this a shot. I feel the people who have eaten there lacked taste buds especially for salt. We had the chicken tajine and meat balls tajine. The meat balls basically lacked flavour due to less salt in them. The guy typically lacks manners for treating his guests. His son omar is a nice lad though.

Authentic Moroccan cuisine! They have a small daily menu so you know everything is fresh & good quality. The food definitely didn't disappoint as both the meatballs and tajine were delicious! Definitely one of the best restaurants in town!

Nothing better than a mom-and-pop shop with delicious home-cooked food. The moment we stepped inside, we were served immediately – the service was super quick but kind :)
Unlike most restaurants, there wasn't a set menu but there were set dishes/tajines of the day. We got to pick and choose what was available (which was hard to pick when everything sounded so good!). No surprise here, the food was absolutely scrumptious and delicious.

Loved eating here. We ate here twice in two days. The beef tajin with prunes was fantastic, as was the sardine tajin, meatballs, and shrimp. Love the atmosphere as it feels like your family’s dining room you are eating in. I would recommend Chez Foad’s 1000%.

Meatball tajine lacked flavor. My wife's soup was also pretty plain. Even adding a little salt would have improved the dish, but there was no salt or other spices one commonly finds sitting on the table of all restaurants we have ever been to so we could add it to our dish to season it the way we would have preferred. Food was a bit expensive for what we ordered and compared to other restaurants we ate at in Chefchauen.

We went there because of its high rating (4.8) on Google. Atmosphere and Service were great, food average but small servings. It's not bad at all but we also did not understand the hype about it. I would certainly not queue to get in

A cozy little restaurant with home-cooked Morroccan food. There is not an official menu, however the owner will tell you the menu of the day which just adds to the experience. A culinary highlight of our trip and thus we returned for a second dinner during our short stay in Chefchaouen. Every dish we have tried was living up to our expectations--perfectly spiced with fresh ingredients. If you want to avoid any tourist traps on the main square, this should be your go-to restaurant in the medina!

An charming family-run restaurant with a menu that changes daily. Do not miss this.
This is one of the finest meals I have had in my weeks in Morocco — and certainly the best in Chefchaouen.

Such a lovely place! A small authentic family restaurant. Exceptional & excellent food and service! We ate there twice and it was the best food we had so far in Morocco! This place is a must visit when you are in Chefchaoun. shkran for the beautiful experience.
