We were very skeptical at first because it's not your typical Mexican restaurant menu and a little spendy, but we found something for everyone to order. When the food arrived our minds quickly changed! We had carnita tacos and pork tamales with rice and refried beans. The food tasted fabulous! Lots of flavors and cooked perfectly! Beautiful display of food, taste is just ok. The waitress was not the friendliest and borderline rude at one point. I asked for no beans when I ordered my burrito, and it came with no beans on the side, but the burrito was packed with them. I should have been more specific, I just ate it anyway. It wasn't great. They only give a single basket of chips and salsa, and then you have to pay for additional ones. They are not a cheap place. Plenty of parking. I have missed Chevy's for about 20yrs thinking they didn't exist anymore because they closed down in the Phoenix area, BUT when I was by Mall of America in Minnesota, I had to stop. HANDS DOWN! They have always had the best fajitas I've EVER had and have been on the search for good fajitas since they closed in Phoenix. The fajitas at Chevy's are so tender, juicy, and flavorful, and you cut through them as if it's butter. I will be there every day while I'm here on business. We went for happy hour and got the strawberry margarita, steak fajita nachos and nachos grandes. The strawberry margarita was a little bit too sweet with weak strawberry flavor but was cold and refreshing. For the chips and salsa, the chips were thin and crispy, so you can eat a lot without your jaw getting tired, and the salsa was not spicy but refreshing and slightly sweet like barbeque seasoning. The fajita nachos had lots of cheese and steak and were pretty decent. The nachos grandes live up to the name, they were VERY large and topped with ground beef, pico de gallo, onions and two scoops of guacamole. Prices are decent for happy hour. Service was not too attentive for how empty the restaurant was at the time, though maybe it felt longer because we were in a rush. All in all, everything was ok. This place was absolutely amazing! The freshly made guacamole appetizer is a must, they make it fresh at your table, it is the best guacamole I have ever had. I also highly recommend the steak fajitas, even their salsa was pretty amazing. The whole family was impressed by this place. Also this place had a great dining atmosphere. Places like this don't come along that often, it was a nice surprise to find this place. Very true to the name fresh Mex. The chips and salsa are completely different than anything we have in our home area. Amazing flavor for the fish tacos. It was grilled salmon. The server was very sweet and checked on us a few times. Would recommend to anyone who likes Mexican cuisine. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The food here is good but once they brings you your food you won't see the waitress come by again to refill your drinks. I had the mix grill fajita combo (steak, shrimps, chicken and pork) and a root beer. I needed a refill of my drink but the server never came back until the end to give you the check. Was celebrating a last minute birthday catch up visit with an old and dear friend. It was extremely hard to get napkins we had to use the same napkin for everything and yes it was paper 🤦🏾 We killed the flies that were determined to ruin the night. The drinks were excellent of course the bartender always gets it right 💯 Our waiter kind of ghosted us but we enjoyed our food the salsa was pretty tasty!
