Gave this rating just for attention, really. We were visiting from out of town. We finished up at the Butterfly House and wanted to take my 2 girls somewhere memorable on our girls day out and this bakery/cafe sounded perfect. When we drove to the location, we only saw "Share Our Grounds" and no mention of Cherry Tree! I didn't want to park and drag my 3-yr old out of her car seat and across the street (also 90 degrees outside) to find that the business had closed. Way more info than needed, but this is how real decisions are made. I want to give a suggestion in the most loving way possible. It'll probably be a couple of years before we make it back to Toledo and I want another chance at these treats!! Please pay a local artistic teenager well to paint an incredible standee sign that says Cherry Tree Bakery and Cafe and put it out on the sidewalk. The Share our Grounds signs look like it's an Autism Parent/Teacher support group coffee house. Awesome idea! But not what we were looking for. Really sad we weren't able to get this info when we were out front (bad cell coverage there)... Looking forward to next time!
We often buy custom cakes from here, 2 to 3 per year. The cakes often receive great complements from our guests both in appearance and in flavor. Will continue to purchase cakes from here unless something changes.
The service was friendly and quick. However, for the price of a small coffee and some breakfast, you can go down the road and get a much larger breakfast for probably a little cheaper. The atmosphere was unique and quiet. Not many pastries in the case.
We've used Cherry Tree Bakery for my son's last 3 birthday cakes and we are always impressed! Katie is great to work with; she goes above and beyond to make sure you get exactly what you want. I would highly recommend!
