We family moved to NJ for almost 2years, every weekend we have a dinner at Chef Zhang with my friend family. We all love Chef Zhang and definitely sure this is the best Chinese restaurant around south New Jersey. And servers all also good they didn’t disturb you when we ate food. Because I don’t like be disturbed during eating. Love Chef Zhang very much, Wish their business always good ! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I had the pleasure of eating at Chef Zhang’s last night. I have to say if you are looking for authentic Sichuan Chinese food, you have to check this place out. The food was amazing, simple, clean & tasty 😋. Overall, the restaurant is clean, the bathrooms were okay and place is comfortable. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

My family wanted to have Chinese food for dinner so I had to search for one in the area. Came across this hidden gem. We didn’t want to keep spending our money at the same restaurant all the time. Glad we have some time to venture into this new flavor. The taste is amazing and we order everything spicy. Not your typical corner store or Chinese take out with just white and brown sauce. Food came out fast and plates are huge. We ended up packing lots of food to bring home. The taste is similar to Han Dynasty. I would rather support small business then Franchise spot like PF Chang. Will definitely be back to try other entrees. Highly recommend to come out and try with friends. They have private room too. Anything orders with 2 chillies sign are very spicy. Tasty food. Portion was quite generous. For two of us, we had Chicken in chilli oils - spicy and salty Eggplant garlic sauce - very good Shedded pork garlic sauce - too spicy Good price.

Most authentic sezchuan food I've ever had. They are generous with the peppercorns, even if you order mild. You can find ingredients from frog to intestines on the menu. Really good authentic food and nice decor. One of my favorite dishes is the double cooked pork! Mostly everything I got was delicious. The only thing I wouldn't really recommend is the soup dumpling since it seemed like the ones you can buy frozen (not much soup in them either). I only got it because the other reviews recommended it. What I personally recommend is the hot and spicy diced chicken, double cooked pork, and any of their veggie dishes! If you want a great meal with authentic Chinese food look no further. Be prepared for some of the items to be more authentic and not Americanized. They do have the classic American fair but for the true taste experience go off the main part of the menu. The pork soup dumplings are great and all the portions for all the meals who are huge. Interior is very no nonsense, food is authentic, mapo tofu had too much peppercorn - could not eat it without huge quantity of rice to fight the numbing sensation, pork soup dumplings were EXCELLENT, Mongolian beef stir fry noodles were standard, and the hot and spicy fish fillet was decent. Nothing special especially after their recent 10% price hike on all menu items.
