Today I took my family to eat at Chef’s Safari African fusion food truck and without a doubt I can say that it’s probably some of the best food I have ever tried! (and my mom is a chef! So I know good food when I try it). The flavors and quality are outstanding and unique! I have two very picky eater boys and they both loved it! They ate everything on their plate and asked if we could come back to eat here again soon! (This was a big plus for me!) I highly recommend everyone to come eat here! You will not regret it! Also, Chef is a great guy! We can’t say enough good things about this place! Thanks for the wonderful food and pleasant experience! We will be back soon! 😃

Excellent African food made and served by awesome people. This is the only place you can get food like this in Durango (or anywhere within the vicinity), and their food is delicious. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Ordered the African Dry Rub Malasia Fries, the Coconut Curry w Tofu served with coconut rice, and the Vegetable platter (came with lentils, collard greens, injera bread, beans). Everything was super tasty, our favorites were the coconut curry dish and the collard greens. Highly recommended and will be back

Traditional Ethiopian food with subtle fusion elements. For example I tasted more coconut than I would expect. I often have negative side effects from eating food from restaurants due to all the garlic and such. This food gave me no problems! I will definitely be back every time I'm in Durango. Chef Safari is a very friendly person and is also generous. He gave me two desserts to try for free so I could review them. One was a mix of dates and walnuts, it tasted like a pie filling. Very delicious. The second was coconut milk and ginger with papaya slices, also very good.

Ethiopian Spiced Beef Curry
Best food in Durango!! So thankful Chef Safari is back to share his gifts with our town. It’s so refreshing to know how much time and passion goes into his food. And the service and smiles are 11/10. The samosas are perfectly crunchy and flavorful, the african fish and chips is out of this world, and the spicy vegetable curry is an all time favorite. And those spicy kashata coconut cakes… I’ve dreamt of them since Zawadi closed. The best, nothing like them. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We will be back weekly! Don’t miss this amazing food.

All of us wanted different things to eat. Our friend found this spot to satisfy us all and oh did it not!!! The lamb curry, falafels & spiced tea were exceptional. The chef was very hospitable and had a great story to tell. Thank you.

I don't think any place has better flavors! Step outside your comfort zone for one minute to treat yourself to some of the best food Durango has...period! I got beef samosas, Dirt rice and lamb kabob in this picture but I have yet to try anything that wasn't delicious! Thanks Chef Safari for bringing back some of the best food I've ever had...you were missed!
