What a great place! There tag line is "Get a lot. For not a lot." and it is very true to say the least. There food is very pleasing to the senses. Their complimentary honey butter croissant was a real treat and a welcome departure from the standard dinner rolls. I ordered the New Orleans Pasta and was not disappointed in it's appearance and taste, although I did notice an absence of the sausage that is supposed to be in the ingredients. It did not ruin my experience though I did point this out to our waitress. She said she would advise the kitchen staff. The appetizer of Wisconsin Cheese bites was another great addition to our meal. Paired with the home-made ranch dip, it was perfect. Finally, I ordered their signature Pain Killer. If you like Pina Colada's that are amped up, this is a great choice. Makes sense as to why they limit you to only 2 per person. Carries quit a nice kick. I will definitely be going back there. The fact that we cam home with leftovers is testament to their slogan. Went here for our anniversary. The host was pleasant and friendly. The server was patient as it was our first time at Cheddar's. She offered suggestions which were really good. We both had a painkiller beverage which is better than a pina colada on steroids. It was great and went well with the cheese bites appetizer. I had the half rack baby back ribs with broccoli casserole and loaded baked potato. The ribs were falling off the bone and had to eat with my fork. I was very impressed. Overall, we had a great anniversary and were given cookies to celebrate with as we had no room left for dessert. It was a cold and misty evening, so comfort food was ideal. Cheddar's did not disappoint. The parking lot was crowded, as was the restaurant, but we were seated with no waiting. The cheese bites made an excellent appetizer, not too greasy or salty. My husband had the grilled fish with mashed potatoes and corn, and I went for total comfort food with the Country Fried Chicken (single portion) with house salad and broccoli casserole. Both were well cooked. The chicken breast was juicy. Our waiter was personable and honest in his recommendations when asked. Management made the rounds to talk to customers even during peak hours. We arrived a little after 6pm. This was our second visit within the last 6 months, and each time the food and service were refreshing. It's nice to dine at a place that understands service is just as important as the quality of the food. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Hunter was our waiter and very nice and great service. The food was delicious- green beans, chicken fried steak and all other dishes at our table. Best food yet in Lincoln!! It was chilly in the area where we were seated and my dad had to leave his coat on- that's why I put 3 stars for atmosphere. Other than that it was a marvelous meal to celebrate my folks anniversary. Will definitely go back there again. Having lived in Lincoln for 8 years it is the first time I've had a meal this good. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
