Walked in and three employees were sitting around a table and told us to sit anywhere we’d like. There was only one customer- occupied table. It took some time to find a clean-ish table, most were not well cleaned. From the moment we were handed our menus, I felt we were interrupting our server’s personal time. My food came out 1st and the Chavas Combo was really good. By the time my wife’s quesadilla came out about 15 minutes later, we had almost finished my plate. No one asked us how things were ( at the table or check- out) or provided a bill until asked. Maybe an off night, but pretty disappointing given all the positive reviews. The food has most definitely changed, can't say that it was bad, but I could only give it 3 stars, so I will leave it at that. The service was great as Usual, my cup was cracked and my waitress took care of that pretty fast, she also came to our table several times checking on us service was giving a 5 star. Atmosphere was amazing it started filling up around 5:30 ish, it's definitely a warm and inviting atmosphere. We will always come back. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If I could give zero stars I would, respectfully. In no way, shape or form am I trying to be mean. In all honesty, this place needs to re-evaluate their food quality, and pricing. For a Friday night, it was not as busy as it should be. The portions were small for a $15.99 plate. If you would like to spend $80.00 for a family of 3 and get a well proportionate plate, I advise you go to Cheesecake Factory or somewhere comparable. I’ve been to Mexican restaurants all around Broken Arrow and the Tulsa Metro area. This place is not comparable, especially for their pricing. Their restaurant is also very hot, feels like you’re eating outdoors. Maybe it was just tonight, I’m not sure. Again, I am saying this with no ill intent. This is just coming from a place of constructive criticism. Being a business owner myself, I would take what my customers have to say into consideration for my business to thrive and succeed. The menu needs deleted off of google and your website because that’s not what the pricing is once you see the menu in person. Chava’s is a quaint Mexican Restaurant located on the south end of Elm Place in Broken Arrow at Jasper Street (131st) I can say without any hesitation that it was the best I have ever eaten at a Mexican restaurant. The menu is unbelievably huge and made for a difficult decision. Therefore, I asked for a recommendation and the sweet hostess recommended “Julisco” which was marinated chicken breasts and Shrimp cooked fajita style and came with choice of corn or flour tortillas. There were generous portions of guacamole, sour cream and rice to accompany the main course. The taste was fresh, delicious and was served at a nice hot temperature even though I took carry-out! Prices are more than reasonable at Chava’s. I would give Chava’s perfect marks in every area that I experienced. Highly recommended and worth the drive away from the beaten path .
1st time to visit Chavas since their opening a few months ago. We arrived around 7:30 on Friday night and they were pretty busy. We were greeted by Bubba who seated us. Our waitress was quick to arrive with chips & salsa and took our drink orders. I ordered the #81 Enchiladas Seafood and she had the #55 Steak Feliz. My enchiladas were pretty good with a shrimp, a crab and a cheese enchilada. She wasn't fully satisfied with her dish as the menu says cooked to your taste and she thought it was a little charred. I tasted it and thought the flavor was good, but it is hard to cook a thin steak to a medium rare. Overall I thought the service was friendly and efficient, the food was served hot and fresh, but is nothing extraordinary. If your in the area and in the mood for Mexican it's as good as most in the area.

The food was really good and the service was excellent. I had one of the combo plates with a tamale, cheese enchiladas, crispy taco and a tostada plus rice and cheese. The taco and tostada where very crispy and the ground beef was seasoned very well. The tamale and enchiladas where good but the taco was definitely my favorite. My wife had the ceviche and it was delicious! This was definitely are favorite dish out of everything we ordered and I will return just for the ceviche! The rice was really good and moist and the beans where just as good. Have to say the salsa was some of the best I have had anywhere in the Tulsa area! Very fresh and not to hot. We had several servings and used it on all our dishes. We will definitely return and try other menu items 😋 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
