Really nice nature around the hotel, also restaurant looks good, but that is all. Low quality of services in restaurant and also in hotel. Probably the worst i ever experienced in this part of world.

The quiet hotel in the beatiful nature just at the lake. The rooms are older but convinient. The restaurant offer variety of meals especially for meat lovers
The scenery is amazing! The service was the worst service I've ever had in Nicaragua in general.. The air conditioner in the rooms did not work. I still was charged as a room with air conditioner. There were bugs all over inside the room. The lady that is in charge of the hotel did not care or even come to the room to help us make it work. Horrible place I would not recommend.

Lovely setting next to Lago Nicaragua with a small beach. The hotel also has a pool, some pool tables and a kids area, making it a great place to stay with kids. There’s a good restaurant serving local dishes and some pasta dishes, and with good options for kids. Service is a little slow, though, so make sure you’re not in a hurry. It’s particularly lovely to sit on the little terrace next to the lake. We stayed in an air conditioned bungalow with a small patio outside. It’s clean, but of course we’re in the middle of nature, so you have to remember to close the door to keep bugs out at night.

My family stayed for almost a week. The front desk it's so far from the rooms. Wi-Fi only by the reception area and no TV in the rooms. This was hard on my kids and hard to communicate with our family overseas during the holidays. The food at the restaurant was always great but costly. Staff weren't friendly, never went out of their way to make you feel at home. There was a new pool, which the kids love. But no service was provided by the pool area. They were charging the public 100 Cordobas but I think they should include that in their day pass. Best to go to ojos de agua for your bucks. The lake view is breath taking, but not enough space for beach area. This place needs better management and attentive to their guests. There's other place worth staying throughout the island.

We stayed here for 3 nights while we explored the isle of Ometepe. It is a spacious hotel with lots of bungalows in the grounds. Our room was spacious with an extremely effective AC unit. But, the room lacked those little touches, no info, no bottled water and no glasses, (there was a glass in the holder in the bathroom but it was dirty with someone else’s toothpaste and cracked). The room lacked a proper clean, there were squashed mosquitoes on the wall and doors and spiders on the bathroom light fittings. Our room looked out on old unused bungalows. |The pool was lovely with lots of chairs around but no sun beds. The hotel goes down to the lake and has a small beach but again could do with some nice chairs and sun umbrellas. There are amazing sunsets, but we had to move our own chairs to the viewing area as there were none there. We also chose this hotel because the website showed a table tennis table but it was depilated and used as a workman’s bench! |The staff were very helpful and particularly the waiters in the dining area. The breakfasts were not included but were not expensive and plentiful. The hotel caters for groups who are only there for 1 to 2 nights and a few times ran out of food, eg fruit for breakfast and ice cream! |The setting for this hotel is delightful with on the whole excellent staff and with a few extra touches could be wonderful.|It would be nice if they had bicycles for hire and arranged kayaking trips, we had a helpful member of staff who organised these things for us. |Overall in spite of everything we loved our stay there.

Our room was basic but seemed to be brand new, it was not one of the bungalows. Looks like they are expanding this property. Nice clean pool. The food is excellent, the staff is great. Our waiter Maoritio was fantastic. He even helped us get a taxi when we needed to get to the ferry in the early morning. The only issue was all the fees added on to the restaurant bill, we were not quite sure if it was tax or tip. The hotel is right next to the nature reserve and you will get a discount on the entrance fee if you stay at the Charco Verde. Nice nature walk, you might see Howler Monkeys. We stayed for 2 nights and it seemed a perfect amount.

This hotel was difficult to find online (they aren't listed on Booking.com or other websites), and when you arrive, you can tell - despite other places on Ometepe being fully booked, this one seemed like it had plenty of room. The only way I could book it was by sending my credit card number by email, which I wasn't completely comfortable with, but turned out OK. There was also difficulty booking exactly what I wanted (we expected a cabana and that breakfast was included, but got a room in the main hotel and no breakfast). It is a new hotel, so the rooms are clean but very plain. The grounds are beautiful, there is a nice swimming pool, and the beach is small but nice (and a perfect place to watch the sunset). The on-site restaurant is the only option for food here, and they only open during meal times. The food was good, but the entrees expensive. However, we found that an "appetizer" was actually the size of a full meal. For example, it cost about $15 for a plate of pasta, but the ham and cheese sandwich on the appetizer menu was only $3, but it was large and loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, etc. and also came with potato wedges and fruit. We ended up ordering this way for our whole stay to save money. The general atmosphere was relaxing and overall a great place to be whether you need a basecamp for daily adventures or just a place to hang out and relax all day. Also, the rooms had air conditioning.

The setting for this little hotel is lovely; it is situated on the shore of Lake Nicaragua and in the protected area of the natural reserve. The view looking back at the volcano is nothing short of magnificent. I like the cabana style of the rooms, which were clean. Like another reviewer said, the beds could be more comfortable, and ditto for the pillows. I managed to pile up the extras from the other bed and got somewhat comfortable. The water in the shower is only tepid. The restaurant is pretty to look at and be in, but the food, especially breakfast, could use some improving. Nice people work there, so all is not lost.
