Mikey was our waiter and he was wonderful! Even though it was busy, he was still attentive. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. I personally had to take my meal home because I was so full from drinks and the appetizers. I had a steak, mashed potatoes, and the vegetable medley was incredible! The food was AMAZING! We heated up our leftovers for breakfast and we all were STILL raving at how amazing the food STILL was! Our server Mikey was so courteous and we were so appreciative that he was hired. The owner came and laughed with us…we were thoroughly pleased and felt welcome!! We are from SC and found this place through a Google search at the last minute and are so glad. If we ever come back to NY, Char is ON OUR LIST! Thank you! Yes, the environment is noisy because all the guests are talking and laughing and having a GOOD TIME, but had NO PROBLEM hearing each other! Tonight we took the hour ride to Char for my best friends 40th Birthday and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious our server Nikki was outstanding made the experience better 10 fold! 10 out of 10 recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We hosted my dad's funeral lunch at Char in January . As always you never know how many people will show up for an event like this . Frank, Nickie and the rest of the Char team did an excellent job accommodating everyone. They were sensitive to our needs and made sure everyone had everything they needed and did it with a smile. The food was plenty as and we never had to wait for a drink. Hats off to everyone at Char. It is always such a treat to go to a place that displays hospitality at its best . My steak was decent, but there were far too many customers for the amount of waitresses that were on that night making for a frustrating experience. They also were not serving the burgers because of how busy they were and that was the only thing my son wanted to eat. I asked for a steak well done and it was medium rare. For dessert I asked for creme brulee and I got bread pudding. Then it was so crowded,the food took a long time 😔. It was not my best day.
