It’s been a long time since I’ve come here. The service continues to excellent s. Staff checked on us multiple times. There’s plenty of parking in the parking lot. Which is on the opposite side of the pedestrian Street. They tend to make things a little spicier. I normally get a three star but when I come here I get a two star. Which seems to be perfect. The noodle dishes are always a go to. I recently had the Pad see ew. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Keep in mind I travel to Southeast Asia. If you're an American who doesn't get out much, you might think this place is pretty nice. I can see the effort. However, if you are well traveled and are looking for a genuine southeast experience in Bothell, what you'll find instead at this establishment is an approximation-ish. Thai inspired at best. My lemongrass chicken was made with chicken ribblet meat, probably the cheapest cut on the bird. The bill didn't reflect that. Wasn't very impressed. Again, I see the effort but being traveled I've been spoilt with really good food at very economical prices abroad. Americans don't know food like that. This place has become terrible over the last couple years. I order take out, they messed up my order after I had to wait 30 minutes longer than I was told and they put rotten vegetables in my order. I won’t be eating here any more Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Had a taste for pineapple fried rice and decided to try this place out. Ordered pickup so I can't attest to the service or even the ambiance as I didn't pick it up. I do have some judgement on the food though. The pineapple fried rice was good, though the rice could have used a tad more oil/flavor. I was disappointed in the meager amount of prawns it had considering the $6.50 upcharge. For $28, it was lacking. Ordered fried rolls with a spice level of 4 and extra Plum sauce. I received ONE tiny container of sauce with barely a tablespoon in it. The rolls had no spiciness whatsoever so I'm not even sure why they even offer the option if they're not going to honor requests. Panang Curry was probably the highlight and savor of this review. Good texture, tons of flavor, spice level on point and tofu for days. If they only had that level of consistency with the other entrees. This place also seemed to be the only Thai restaurant in the area who has been able to find ripe mangos in early September. Their mango sticky rice was delicious though I wish the mango, rice and coconut milk had been packaged separately for easier transport and reheating. By the time I was ready to eat it, everything was room temp. Overall, it was okay. Might have had a better dining in, but at least try the Panang curry. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Food: 2

Went with a friend who ordered a 4 spicy and I ordered a 2. Pretty sure they mixed them up as the pad Thai was much hotter than her dish and bright red. They switched it out, but came back and told me it was a 2. I like spicy food and enjoy Thai so this was not my first experience, but there is no way it was a 2. I was sweating it was so hot. The replacement they brought me had no spice at all and was even a bit sweet. We won’t be back and will stick to our regular Thai place. Their chicken pad Thai was saucy with more of a tomato sauce to me, which I don't care for. The yellow curry my daughter had was good, and so was the chicken satay we ordered. Service was a bit slow, and they sent out our appetizer of ckn satay with our meal. Hoped to get it before so we wouldn't be starving waiting on our food! Really delicious Pad Thai and Garlic chicken. The fried rice wasn’t a normal fried rice, but it was amazing! The cocktails were tasty too! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
I was craving Thai food and wanted something local. Checked out there direct website and loved the family story. Ordered delivery on doordash, wish I could of ordered directly to avoid third party. Anyways, food was delicious. I encourage you to make your own rice. Only because it's cheaper. I have been coming to pen thai with family since 2006 and was a customer of chantanee atleast since 2011/12. My friends and I we were bummed out that chantanee was closing in Bellevue because it was like a family and I used to visit once or twice every week. Recently, my team was planning for a Thai lunch and I was looking for some options. I was so ecstatic to see that chantanee is open in Bothell! I drove my team from Queen Anne to Bothell and we absolutely enjoyed every item we ordered. My team thanked me for a great suggestion. On our way back, folks in my car casually mentioned about something was weird about the service and I agreed. This lady was always in a hurry (just for our table) and never came back to ask if everything was ok, we need a box etc., There were just three other tables and things weren’t crazy and it felt like we were not treated well. Last Saturday, I come back to another waitress and she was amazing and the food was amazing. I came back this Saturday (1/20), I met with the waitress with an attitude. At the beginning, I didn’t think anything but I know she would always be in a hurry so I ordered everything at first. After I am done with the lunch, 5 minutes go by, 10 minutes go by she never came back to my table. When she came to nearby tables couple of times, she acted like she didn’t hear me and walked away. Finally, I walked to the front and paid my bill and left a 15%tip even though I was upset. She has the audacity to ask if something was wrong with the service. I would have given her a lesson that she should’ve thought about it when walking away from nearby tables as though you didn’t hear me and never came back to ask if I want a box or order any dessert or anything. I really wish Chantanee Thai the best but this kind of service whether it is profiling or what is unacceptable. I would have never expected this at Chantanee.
