Very Poor service, with undiscussed charges. They count appitizers as meals to be able to collect automatic gratuity at 18%, and there service for to go orders are not worth a 2% gratudiy. We were passing through and stopped here for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious! You can tell the kitchen actually cares that the food has flavor! I've been to several places saying they have famous chicken only to be let down. This was the best fried chicken I've ever had! Our server Haley was te absolutely sweetest too! 💖 Thank you so much! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I ordered takeout. 2 PC. Chicken dinner w/ 2 sides, chicken livers w/ 2 sides, an order of fried green tomatoes and a bag of pork skins. I meant to take pictures. Please forgive me, but I was so hungry. I had already eaten half my dinner before I thought about it. Champy's has a fun and unique atmosphere. The restaurant is decorated with lots of vintage signs and retro sports memorabilia. The decor is very nostalgic and offers feel good vibes. There's dining available inside and outside. There's a bar inside with several TVs for sports enthusiasts. The fried chicken livers are my favorite! They're crispy, delicious, and fried to perfection. The dinner comes with 2 sides and it's way more than enough for one sitting. The potatoes and gravy are really good. They also have some of the best Mac and Cheese I've ever had. There's lots of other stuff to enjoy from the menu as well. Talented local bands and musicians play music most nights. You can also order ahead and take advantage of the drive-thru window. You don't even have to go inside! It's definitely worth a visit. The prices are very reasonable and the service is always friendly and welcoming! We were told this was a “Kitschy” restaurant and it did NOT disappoint! We started with buttermilk fried pickles. Served quickly, super hot and delicious! Hubby and I both had 2 piece white meat chicken plate. Probably the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Breading stayed on - how do they do that? Sides were perfect. I recommend the potato salad - tasted just like my momma used to make! Stop in here for lunch or dinner. You won’t be disappointed!!
