This is a wonderful gastronomic experience where Chai cooks at the table you and your guests. My family of four had the table to ourselves where we ate six courses that started simply and became more sophisticated as the meal progressed. It’s a little remote but you sit in a beautiful rustic spot and are entertained and fed by this great couple who obviously love to cook and entertain. We all loved it and felt like we got a little of the old Samui from before the tourist explosion. Make the trip it’s really worth it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is a must do if you visit Samui. Yes, it’s out of the way but well worth the visit. The food is cooked by Chai and Rhut and the vegetables are sourced from the farm which is around you. There is no menu as such and you will agree with him before what you would like to eat. His signature dish is the Massaman curry although his kaprow is also delicious too. This is not a rock up and dine restaurant, you need to pre book with Chai! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person ฿500–600
My friends and I had a great time with Chai and his wife. The food was prepared before our eyes with very fresh products. It was delicious and I will be back but this time before sunset to visit the garden.
Hands down the best food expedience we’ve had since we moved to Samui. Khun Chai and his wife will cook you several courses of traditional thai food made from local and seasonal ingredients. The food was amazing, definitely several steps up from most of the thai food around. It really stands out. And you will enjoy this delicious food whilst sitting in their beautiful garden. They cook right next to you in their outside kitchen which is a nice touch. It feels like you’ve been invited into their home—it’s really something special. And on top of that, Chai is a very interesting and passionate man (not just about cooking, but about literature etc) with lots of cool stories and interests if you are up for a chat. Trust me, it’s a must try. The food is AMAZING.

The best shrimps garlic and pepper , massaman curry.... We ever eat. Chai and his wife are very weĺcoming
Stumbled upon this charming family-run garden restaurant, we loved it! Today they had curry noodles, Thai rice with a variety of herbs and veggies, and roasted chicken wings with sweet-sour sauce. Everything tasted so fresh and good. The setting is lovely, with tables in a garden, simple but nice. Owners are very friendly. Nice little gem!
If you want to have a farm-to-table authentic Thai experience, this is the right place. Simple but amazing lunch, very kind staff, SUPER CHEAP, one of the best places I've been on ko Samui. Everything was "bio" and freshly picked. They didn't say it, but I think that at least two of the three dishes we had were vegan and gluten free. They also told us that they organize cooking classes, but I haven't tried that. Not sure it's in English :)

Amazing!! We love it!! Chai’s Cuisine and Farm is an awesome family run restaurant and cooking school run by Khun Chai and his wife Khun Rutt down in Namuang (southern, quiet part of Samui). They are the loveliest couple, they grow their own vegetables, and over the past few years they have built the sweetest little farm, restaurant and cooking school. We usually go with a small group of friends and let Khun Chai decide the menu for us- it’s always delicious. I recommend the Massaman curry, Banana Flower salad and prawns with black pepper or prawns with basil and chilli. Oh and the appetiser Miang Kom is fabulous (a little twist because it’s served on flower petals instead of Betel leaves, and I love the Tamarind sauce). You need to make a booking in advance, and go before sunset so you can walk around the garden.
The original thai taste and organic. Owner and his wife simple and very warmful.
