Cha Yen Thai Cookery is exactly what you’re looking for if you want quality food at a good price! The food came out very fast and hot, despite it being a busy night. We ordered the See Ew and Green Curry with Tofu, both of which tasted amazing! I’m not a food connoisseur by any means, that being said, the food was delicious by our standards! It is located in a small spot in Watertown, so the seating arrangement wasn’t necessarily the best. We got sat near the door, so we had to eat with our coats on. Service was okay, but we did get what we needed, when we needed it. The restaurant itself isn’t aesthetically “traditional” either, but let be honest, we were there to eat! The food speaks for itself. Cha Yen is definitely a little gem in our backyard, can’t wait to be back! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

This place is amazing! I’ve been here over 20 times and the food is consistently fantastic. Wait staff is so nice and professional. It’s hard to work at a place that typically gets one huge rush a day but they are so great and the food always shines. Good Thai food and good people Service Take out Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Decent Thai place. Some of the dishes were great, some of them were not. I highly recommend the drunken noodles and fried rice. I had the drunken noodles with duck and it was super good. The corn fritters were also great but the dipping sauce was too sweet/syrupy. The quail eggs weren’t anything special. It tastes exactly how it appears: like a small fried egg with soy glaze. The roti was super good and flaky but unfortunately the curry dipping sauce was cold — not even lukewarm but refrigerated cold. It would’ve been great had it been heated up. The papaya salad was missing dried shrimp like it traditionally should have. We ate here for lunch and the server was hard to reach at times. Overall, not the best thai food in Boston but there were definitely some great dishes. I would order from here again since its close by to me.
