Good food at a very affordable price. Will come back for more. Portion is big and worth the price. No aircon but lots of fan. Service very fast and staff very helpful and friendly. Owner is there and very nice. Need to queue for table but not a long wait. Food served fast after order. I like the drink and is very big cup and taste nice. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
There must be a reason why there is always a queue waiting for a table at this restaurant. The food was delicious. It’s a South Indian type of cuisine with Dosas, byriani and tori dishes. The most famous dish is the cheese naan. Everything on the menu looked and sounded absolutely amazing. We shared the table with a local to speed up the service. It gets super busy. Each time visit Kuching will visit this restaurant for the delicious food. Needed to be patient and wait in line for an empty table as the tables were always full. The staff are also very diligent. When a customer leaves, they immediately clear the table and let the next customer sit at the table. The boss also politely, greets the customers at each table and asks about their dining experience. This shop came as one of the must visit, especially for its cheesy naan. And I am glad I managed to visit this place. The staff were friendly and quick to guide us to the seats. Ordered the following items. 1. Cheese naan (must try. Dont go for the double or triple, try original first) 2. Lamb Shank Biriyani (Lamb was SUPERB. Biriyani rice was ok. Rice portion is small. Kambing soup was also given which really packed a punch!) 3. Banana Leaf Chicken Biriyani (Equally good! Again, rice portion small. Comes with boiled egg) 4. Appam set (1 egg and 3 plain, but good enough for 1 person) 5. Choco Lava Naan (This was sooo good! Can eat as dessert) 6. Ceylonese Fries (papadum strips sprinkled with spices and fried curry leaves) 7. Ceylonese Masala Chai (this was the only let down. Not hot enough, watered down taste. Can skip this). Overall, can definitely try once at least for the cheese naan! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 20–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Naan Cheese
The food is good, the service is better, and the Boss and the waiters are the best. The only things is you need to queue to be seated, to many customers. You better be prepared. Anyway it’s worth your time and money. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person RM 40–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Banana Leaf Briyani Lamb Biryani
Super happening place at night with lots of locals and also travellers. The road to this shop is jam. Boss was there when I was there and he gave up good vibes simply enjoying serving good food to his customers, at least I felt it. I like how the tandoori comes with this potatoes in spices which has a taste that I really enjoyed. Tandoori on the other hand was not bad but I was more absorbed with the potatoes. I ordered a normal cheese naan and the cheese was already overwhelming so I can't imagine if u order a triple cheese. What's fascinating was that their ceynolese fries turn out to be thin papadam with curry powder. It was decent but a little salty and pretty oily. This opens till 12 am so it can be a pretty good supper spot too.
Very happy with the food and prompt service. A little bit shocked that butter chicken is RM19 while chicken curry is only RM9. But it’s okay - probably our fault for not reading carefully. The cheese naan was really good, especially when it's fresh from the kitchen. The curry dip was a bit too salty for me, though. The Ceylonese fries were interesting – they're made from papadom strips with chili powder and ajinomoto. And the lamb was super tasty and tender. You have to line before getting in though. So make sure to eat a little something before coming here Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person RM 120–140 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Cheese Naan with Curry Sauce
There is always a queue to get a table. The cheese naan with extra extra cheese is ginormous and contains 1kg (!!) of cheese. The garlic cheese naan is awesome fragrant. Aloo Gobi had only Gobi (cauliflower) today but good Gobi - these were charred very well before being simmered in good curry. We also like the Ceylonese fries which is shredded papadam with spices and curry leaves. Mango lassi, teh tarik and special teh c (essentially 3-layered tea comprising Pandan flavoured gula apong, milk and tea) were also great. 2 of us ate enough for 6 pax. The crew was very friendly and accommodating even though the restaurant was really busy. Very satisfied! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
