This place is so incredible. The service. Italian/English speaking wait staff who are more than happy to make menu suggestions if you need. Everyone in this place is friendly from the time you check in to when you leave. The drinks are good. The food is AMAZING!!!!! The octopus is phenomenal. The other appetizer was so amazing sorry I forgot the name of it but see the pic. When you sit outside they have these shawls to throw over your legs or shoulders, wonderful. Oh, go in the back and watch them hand make the pasta including the ravioli. MAKE A RESERVATION!!!!! It’s no wonder that Cesarina has been a staple Italian restaurant in San Diego. Their pastas, sauces, sausages and even their amazing focaccia bread are all made in house. 🍝 Boscaiola: pork sausage, cremini, shitake, porcini mushrooms in a creamy sauce. Love their thick tonnarelli pasta 🥔 Truffle gnocchi: shrimp, porcini mushrooms, fresh truffle. A must get! 🍅 Caprese: beautiful tower of fresh burrata, pesto, basil and prosciutto 🦑 Fried Calamari and shrimp: perfectly crispy with purple potatoes and aioli 🍰 Crème brulee cheesecake: creamy with a crackly sugar top 🍫Tiramisu: served tableside You cant go wrong with anything of their dishes and I personally love how they have so many customizable pasta dishes too. The service was great and we were treated just like family. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wine/cocktails list and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! They also have a cute covered patio if you don’t feel eating inside. I would like to come back here again and again. FYI they don’t have parking on premises, just across the street. Reservation highly recommended. And don’t forget to try the Tiramisu, it’s absolutely delicious. ;) Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The food was very well made, fresh and plated beautifully. The service was AMAZING, never had an empty water cup and the bread kept on coming. The atmosphere was very beautiful with a homey vibe as well. It’s a place that you most definitely should dress up for a little bit if you don’t it’s not the end of the world you won’t feel too incredibly out of place. The pesto pasta was delectable.

I am delighted with my experience at this Italian restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I was transported to Italy with a warm ambiance and friendly staff. The food was extraordinary; each dish burst with authentic flavors that joyfully made my taste buds sing. The attention to detail in every plate was evident, showcasing the chef's expertise and dedication to traditional Italian cuisine. The pasta was cooked to perfection, sauces were rich and flavorful, and the ingredients were fresh and high-quality. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable and made the entire dining experience even more delightful. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an unforgettable Italian dining experience in San Diego. In my opinion, this establishment undoubtedly deserves the title of the best Italian restaurant in town. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Tried this place for the first time and it was a great experience. The atmosphere and service were exceptional. The waiters were very attentive and the food and drinks came out fast. The free bread is made in-house and is better than almost any other Italian restaurant's bread. The entrees were a little expensive but they were very flavorful.
