We ate here the last night in Jasper. The food was wonderful. The fried chicken breast was the best I've ever had. Fried pickles were amazing. Hubby had the 3 pc catfish dinner, and could barely finish it. Fried okra was amazing. We highly recommend it. I sent my friend here for NYE before they closed. He ordered to go and they were out of soup so they offered to substitute with a second slice of pie. The portions were good and tasty, the pie was good, and the ladies there were very kind. This place is a good value - no wonder they have the best rating in town. The lettuce was brown and wilted. The food was barely warm. The rolls were old and very tough. The mashed potatoes were soupy and hard pieces of potato. There were more potato peeling's than potato. It was literally like they mixed up garbage into a pot. Sadly, it was a wasted hour drive there.. Just to get an over priced mess. I hate that too because I love Cedar tree. The waitress made us wait until our plates were half eaten before receiving our drinks. We were never asked if we needed a refill on our drinks and had to ask for our plates to be removed. Fed up with it all we asked for our ticket and waited another 10-15 minutes for it. I truly hope the service and quality of the food gets better there soon .
