Probably one of the worst experiences one could have ever had. Pulled up VERY close to 10pm, and the pump I pulled up to had a handwritten sign saying cash only. I backed up to the next one and noticed the same sign. Realizing now that all the pumps were cash only, I started walking to the store because I needed to get more cash to fill up. Literally, ~ 10' from the door and as we make eye contact, the associate locks the door in my face and RUNS off towards the back of the store. There are 3 other individuals around the counter in the store refusing to make eye contact, a few seconds later...lights out. What makes this so bad is obviously I was needing gas, not just some slice of pizza. This could have been a real issue, but thankfully I had enough gas to get home. I realize how difficult it is to find "good" people.
But one would think the basic human characteristic of care and compassion in an individual shouldn't be too difficult to find. In a way, I feel sorry for the individual that ran off and left me in the dark, but actually feel sorrier for the other 3 that just stood by and let it happen.
