12/29/23 Back this evening to try the Nachos! Outstanding! Great flavor and lots of toppings! Loved it! WOW !! So delicious. I thought another popular Restaurant in downtown Salem was the best Mexican Food ( La Ma) for short. But…this place blows them out of the competition for sure, now I will be telling everyone they have got to try the best food at this place!!! the Chili Verde was excellent and the portion size was way better than the other I mentioned who is super cheap with their portions. My husband’s Mango Chicken Salad was gorgeous. I love the modern vibe and the art work. It’s not your old school tired looking Mexican Restaurant it has an LA Vibe, very cool. You have to try the food here it’s so good, the chips are warm and the salsa has a smoky roasted flavor. I can’t wait to go back and try the Nachos, that is how I really judge a restaurant. How much love and layering of toppings and cheese will they put into my favorite dish of nachos. To be continued.. I’ll update this review soon. Hands down -- THEEEE BEST food I've had in a long time. The beef rib dinner was to die for. Great Margaritas, super friendly and helpful staff, and fun atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Cool decor, love the plant wall behind the register. Took forever to get seated at 330 on a Sunday, no evidence it was busy. Decent salsa, they bring plates of beans with your chips and salsa! Took forever to get water. Good margaritas!.... for $15. A couple of not starving grown ups split the "large" nacho with a 2 and 3 year old. Good thing we weren't very hungry. The ground beef apparently swims in liquid while waiting to be served, it was wet enough that it made the nachos soggy. That said, the menu was full of fancy, appetizing sharable items. This place is great for a date night or a girls night out! Staff is very attentive and they checked on us quite often. Great food and even better great drinks! Try the margarita flight. Now dessert was decadent, go ahead and try the cornbread coconut dessert. Is ok to indulge yourself every now and always!!!

Stopped in on a Thursday night for a spur of the moment date night. I had seen reviews on Facebook groups about the restaurant, and my interest was high. Tbh, the outside of the restaurant didn't appear to be much. It's very nondescript. But I kinda like it now knowing what is inside. It appears smaller outside, then it is on the inside. The restaurant is beautiful. The light fixtures are amazing. There is color everywhere, and I absolutely love the framed pictures. The curtains were a really nice touch that I hadn't seen in a mexican restaurant before. There was loud music play by the bar (they do have lottery). We were seated quickly. They brought us water, chips, beans/cabbage, and salsa. The salsa was super spicy, and the beans had lots of flavor. They took our order like 10 mins later. We ordered a flight of margaritas. We got a taco combo and the Birria tacos. Both items were delicious. And then we got desserts. The whole dinner was wonderful and delicious!! The total was around 66. This place has been good in the past although I have never been in here alone. Today changed that. The service has been the worst ever. It’s literally like they are being racist, I have been here for over an hour. I have gotten 1 1/2 soda and my food. I have waited 15 minutes for a box and my bill so Can leave. For the first 45 minutes I was here the lady at the bar helped 4 Hispanic gentleman and ignored me (all of us playing video poker) I finally went and sat down, she asked what I wanted to eat and drink. Walked away brought my drink when the food came. Left and did not come back for 30 minutes. Finally asked if I was done. I asked for more soda and box. She left made a drink for one of the 4 other gentleman and finally brought me 1/2 a soda and no box. I am typing this while sitting here waiting for the box and check. I finally got a box, never got the bill so I walked up front and asked to talk to a manager and was told there was not one. Paid my bill and left I will not come back this is literally the worst I have ever been treated at a restaurant Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Very good food. I got The trio fajitas that has vegetables with chicken, shrimp, and steak were delicious. And they bring some chips and dips too. Nice atmosphere and great vibes. Loud and lively. Unfortunately, one of our waitress was giving us "idgaf" and "I don't care" vibes and that really just put us in bad moods. Thankfully, we had another waitress that helped us and was way much friendlier.

I'm sorry the restaurant went down really bad the service really bad had to ask for most utensils, napkins, plates. I ordered fajitas there was like 4 little strips of meat between 2 pounds of onions and peppers the drinks I ordered was different than the the ones on the picture. Bathrooms were in bad condition dirty, no toilet paper, hand towels, broken sink, water all over the floors. I asked for a copy of my receipt and looks like she didn't like it and when she brought it put it facing down and when I got out and checked for it it wasn't my receipt it was another person receipt for a lower quantity I couldn't even check if I paid for what I ordered because Bill was to high for what I had and couldn't review the prices. I'm not a cheap person but I like to get what I paid for and I didn't I used to eat here before but the service was amazing I don't know was going on if they changed owners or want but service went very low to me.
