We had lunch here by accident when exploring on holiday. Walked past at 12 when it was opening and thought it looked lovely so popped in with my family. We were so glad we did! We were served by a wonderful waiter who was Portuguese but had lived in England for 18 years and was really helpful. Service was quick. The first time we visited we had the grilled salmon and octopus salad. My 10 year old had hamburgers and chips, very plain but he liked it, and they cooked up some turkey steaks for my 5 year old. The octopus salad was delicious, light and fresh. But wow, the salmon. The best Salmon we have ever had. Crispy, juicy, falling apart delicious. We loved it so much we came back 2 days later. My son this time had the grilled prawns and monkfish with me which were delicious, lamb chops for the other son and of course salmon again. A wonderful restaurant, reasonable prices, gorgeous Vinho Verde to wash it down. Set in a beautiful little village near 2 beaches (get the free road train to Fabrica beach). The best meal by far for taste and price that we had in our 12 days in the area. We hope to go back one day! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Lovely little restaurant right next to the beach. We had gorgeous fresh crab as well as the prawn and monkfish skewer, salmon and the rice. Most of the menu is gluten free! Gets very busy and you can’t book so go early. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

A nice place, very friendly staff, and (partially) good food. We had delicious, large and meaty local oysters at a very fair price i.m.o. But then the rather expensive grilled red shrimps were totally overcooked, resulting in hard meat garnished with charcoal flavour, a pity for the delicacy that costs almost €100 the kilo. Our complaint was kindly answered in a way that next time they will make it better. Only, there will be no next time. Truly sorry to say that about such a lovely place 🙄 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €30–35 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Cacela Velha is a gorgeous village and this is an excellent seafood restaurant. Don't expect seaviews, although there are outdoor tables. There is fantastic, fresh seafood such as clams, oysters, eels and other fish fresh from the lagoon. There are also more distant options such as brown crab and salmon if you prefer more familiar options. Meat choices are available too. The dessert choice is impressive. We had an excellent meal with wine, coffee and dessert for 30Euro a person. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €30–35 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
We have been here several times and the food is always good. Do try the [naku de vittal] (phonetic). It's sublime dining for two if you love meat. But the tuna is perfect as well, in any way it's served here. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €20–25 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

This place was fantastic! Great service, great food and good prices. The view of the hillside and parking lot isn't the best, but it's a very comfortable. We had a first plate of dried tuna (mohama) with cheese, marmalade, honey, and almonds that was an absolutely delicious combination when mixed together. Then we had the rice with shellfish which was spectacular. The rice is brothy yet not pasty, full of flavour from the clams, prawns, etc. They added just the right amount of cilantro for my taste. We washed it all down with a bottle of "vinho verde" which accompanied the meal perfectly, and a bottle of water. The bill was 41 euros, a very fair price for the quality of the food and the setting is such a beautiful little town.

Honestly insane. Sooooo good, we were blown away by the quality of food and easily was our best meal in the Algarve. We went for the seafood and the arroz and we were very happy with it. The cherry on top of the cake was the chocolate cake of the house…you won’t believe how good it was! Highly recommend this place and everything from food, to service and price are just perfect. Pure quality.

Authentic regional food at a great location. Usually quite crowded, so one should factor a little waiting time in if you come in the evening. They offer regional fresh food, prepared the way it is done over here. No star chef "chi-chi", but honest cooking of local fresh indegredients at a fair price. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, always worth a visit. Service Dine in Price per person €30–35 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
