Absolutely wonderful local gem! Had some lovely savoury pastries together with some local sweet natas. The coffee was also delicious and their orange juice is as fresh as Atlantic air!

We decided to go for afternoon cake in Bank Holiday and had just a short wait for a table to enjoy goodies. Lovely choice of cakes and famous pastries , including mini options and all the usual tostas , torrados you can expect. Take away option and gift packages to take away. Lovely Treat
Excellent parties 👍👍👍👍👍
I wanna give 4.8😜
Best place for bfast so far when we are staying in Portugal.
The empanada is kindda ok but all the rest are excellent and coffee is perfect!.
Ring the chimes and chime the bells. You just found a place that should be a must on any Sintra list.
What makes this place so special? you are asking correctly.
On one hand it is an old establishment, a typical traditional Portuguese cafeteria: lots of delicious pastries, strong bitter espresso, old fashioned design, vegetable soup and strong local vibe. Locals visit this place regularly.
On the other hand: the welcoming and prompt English speaking service, the crazy good salads (do not miss the salads!), the wraps and burgers, makes this place one of the best in the region.
The place has lots of parking but be careful the road is narrow and busy going to and from old sintra.
You must visit this place.
I added a picture of the chicken (“frango”) salad. My favorite.
If you come at lunch time prepare to have to wait for a table.
I think this place has been overrated for a while, but recently I attended with a friend and sat outside where I was told there was no table service outside by a member of staff. I went inside to order and the lady at the till said there was table service and i misinformed. So i ordered 2 latte and 2 toast, went outside to the table and waited.
15minutes later went inside to make sure that my order was actually not forgotten and it was sitting on the counter, 2 latte and 1 toast, i carried them to the table already cold but i didn't have the energy to argue so i just ignored it. Came back inside to get the second toast and a lady at the till looking seriously confused and completely incapable of speaking Portuguese tried to tell me that i only ordered one but she would order the second one now.
At this point i got my friend and left.
500meters to the right there is a place called Natalia, we went there instead and worked out just fine
