From the moment we walked in and were greeted by the staff, it was over the top with friendliness!! And then came the wine (huge selection) and the food ... amazing... we had chicken parmesan, short ribs with risotto and pork Milanese, all couldn't have been better! Our motto: Seize the marriage at Carpe Diem restaurant! My search for a place to have an intimate wedding dinner, Carpe Diem stood above all the others. ~more personable and informative than any of the other restaurants! We are Napa locals and reached out by email to about 8 different restaurants in the Napa Valley; J. Gabriel, the manager of Carpe Diem was the ONLY ONE to phone me, leave a personal message, and send an email. He was professional and personable. With so many wedding preparations, J. Gabriel eased my mind and took care of our intimate dinner of 12. He personalized our dinner menus and every guest was taken care of immediately. Food is creative and delicious at Carpe Diem. Items are available for pescatarians and vegetarians. Guests enjoyed trying the handcrafted drinks by the bartender. We never felt rushed and Service was quietly present, effective, and not overbearing. So glad we are locals because I must try everything on their menu. My new sister-in-law has just booked them for her employer’s holiday brunch. Go eat there. The food and service will explain it all. Arancini (decadent and delicious, burrata is creamy good, calamari - included fun citrus twist! Playful, delicious surprises. Risotto, Short ribs, and Pacific Halibut. I am glad we live in Napa. We had a group of 5 here for Thanksgiving. My husband ordered the Thanksgiving meal and asked for no brussel sprouts or stuffing on his plate, they brought his plate out with both so he returned it and this time they brought it back with stuffing still on it. Rather than let everyone else’s food get cold we didn’t return it a 2nd time. Our reservation was for 6:30 and at around 7:30 our server Ari came and got our empty wine bottle without offering anything else to drink, we had to flag someone down to bring a 2nd bottle. When they brought our checks they gave us the merchant copy and the customer copy, neither of these showed an auto gratuity added to them. We left the server a 15% tip because that’s all we felt was deserved. As we were leaving I went and asked another sever if I could get an itemized receipt so we could split our bill amongst us and the next morning when I looked at it there was an auto gratuity charge of 20%. So our server got a 35% tip without us realizing it. Every other restaurant I’ve ever been to adds the auto gratuity to the customer copy check. This was very shady. They also charge you 55.00 for bottles of wine that are 18.00. Don’t bother with this place. There are much better places in Napa to eat at. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Highly Recommend the Lambs Rack & truffle fries. This is my favorite restaurant to dine at. The atmosphere is so welcoming and the owners are so friendly.
