This is the hidden gem. The food is great and must try! We ordered the oxtail stew. The owner Yonette is extremely nice and helpful. She is willing to be interview my a middle schooler for her science project. (while other stores rejected us @ 3pm). She told us the unsold food will donate to church. This is a kind act and blessing to the community. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Oxtail Stew

If you want some genuinely delicious Caribbean food - this is the place to be. I can’t believe this hidden gem is nestled here in the San Gabriel Valley! I’ve only eaten here twice but I’m hooked. The oxtail stew will always be my favorite with the jerk chicken a close candidate. The cheese rolls are great and those plantains - yum! The guy at the counter is so courteous and friendly - thank you! Thank you guys for bringing some authentic and delicious food our way - we’ll definitely keep coming back for more :) Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Jamaican Style Beef Patty

"A Taste of Island Paradise in San Gabriel" Eating at Caribbean Gourmet is like taking a trip to see long time friends during the Holiday. Yonette, her family, and staff have really become a part of the community. The real magic though, is in the food. The warm aroma of spices fills the air, immediately transporting on a culinary vacation. Jamaican patties: These golden pockets of heaven are a must-try. The flaky pastry encases a savory filling of seasoned meat and vegetables, bursting with flavor in every bite. Each bite is a symphony of textures and tastes, leaving you wanting more. True story; I once ordered 50 of them for my Christmas party, and the team delivered. Everyone at the party wanted to take some home. Oxtail: This dish is a true Caribbean classic, and Caribbean Gourmet does it justice. The slow-cooked oxtail is melt-in-your-mouth tender, falling off the bone with just a touch. The rich and flavorful gravy perfectly complements the meat, making each forkful an absolute delight. Jerk chicken: This iconic dish is a must-have for any Caribbean food enthusiast. The jerk seasoning at Caribbean Gourmet is spot-on, infusing the chicken with a smoky, spicy, and slightly sweet flavor that's truly unforgettable. The meat is cooked to perfection, juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. But the deliciousness doesn't end there. Caribbean Gourmet offers a wide variety of other authentic dishes, from curry and plantains to roti and rice and peas. Each dish is prepared with fresh ingredients and cooked with love, ensuring a truly authentic Caribbean experience. Beyond the food: The friendly service adds another layer of warmth and hospitality to the dining experience. The staff is always happy to answer questions and help you choose the perfect dish to satisfy your cravings. The vibrant atmosphere, complete with island music and island-inspired decor, further enhances the dining experience. Overall: Caribbean Gourmet is a hidden gem in San Gabriel that offers authentic and delicious Caribbean cuisine. Whether you're a seasoned Caribbean food lover or just looking for a new and exciting culinary adventure, Caribbean Gourmet is sure to please. So come hungry, come curious, and come ready to be transported to a taste of island paradise! I was super excited to find an authentic Caribbean restaurant while working in San Gabriel. It is located in the Blossom Market Hall. I will definitely return with my full appetite. I jumped for joy when I saw the cassava pone which I haven’t had in over 7 years. Prices were reasonable and inline with our current small-business economy. I had an opportunity to meet and greet with the owner. She is a very kind and passionate woman. I enjoyed our brief conversation and her energy. I like how the restaurant has a reusable bag discount. Customer service was 10 stars! The food hall had easy parking. I didn’t have to search or wait. The location is near many nice homes and the area has been redeveloped into a cool and hip neighborhood. Inside the food hall, there is something for everyone and all the vendor kiosks seemed top-notch and high-quality. I will definitely return and consistently patronize this restaurant. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
My husband recently celebrated his birthday and ONLY wanted food from this place. It was pretty last minute, but Yonette was responsive to my catering request. It was Super Bowl Sunday , and she still made the accommodations for me! Food was fresh and delicious and our guests didn't stop talking about it. Thank you again! If your on the fence about it, try it! They never disappoint. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I didn’t get to take any pictures because I literally demolished my entire meal and I am the most content and satisfied I have ever felt. My husband and I have visited Jamaica and the food there was incredible, we saw this place and the food looked delicious on instagram, and it did not disappoint one bit! The portion size for our jerk chicken plate was what I call “family size” a super heaped plate with plenty of rice & peas, wilted veggies and 1/2 of the most authentically seasoned chicken. They say you can’t put a price on a mothers love but here they serve it by the plate for $17 Sweet perfect plantains, Super aromatic the experience was delightful. I cannot wait to come back and try everything on the menu. They also have the best Jamaican patties in Los Angeles, quit sleeping on this place and go! Came on the opening weekend. Oh my, it was so packed, people everywhere. But we were lucky to find outdoor seating. Speaking of the food, we opted for a Jack chicken plate and a cheese roll. Not gonna lie, we came for this and it didn't disappoint. We really enjoyed the chicken plate. Loved their chicken, it was so flavorful and tender! Really tasty! Cheese roll was decent too. What also impressed us was the owner from Caribbean Gourmet, who was sweet and friendly! Would def love to be back to try more, heard that they make really good oxtail stew too. All in all, I recommend this place! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

I ordered the ox tail. Don’t hesitate and order it. The meat falls right off the bone. We are so lucky to have food from Guyana in our backyard. I’ll be returning as often as possible to try the other dishes. Price per person $20–30 Recommended dishes Oxtail Stew
