From Robert, I had the fish and chip and it was delicious. The cod was lightly battered and flacky as it should be. We also had calamari with perfect blended sauce, describing it as quite delicious. The atmosphere with a gas fired stone fireplace, old wooden beams accented it nicely. And the service was great also. We will return, thank you. The food is delicious. The portions are very big. We had the fish and chips and it was delicious. The clam chowder was very good; thick, creamy and flavorful. The service was excellent. It's a crowded and popular place because the food is always great. It's our third visit and we would recommend getting a reservation ahead of your visit. Our visit was great! My thanks to everyone for making me feel like I was coming home. We had the lobster roll and captain burger, which were prepared perfectly! The fries were nicely thin and crispy, and like everything else on our plates, seasoned perfectly. I'd have pictures of the clam chowder if I hadn't gulped it down in five minutes! I couldn't recommend this place enough. The homey feeling of the pub, the helpful, polite and friendly staff. It was a perfect time. Thank you all again! I can't wait to come back! The DPI is a "must" when you visit Mystic. The service and quality of food is fantastic. The historic significance of the building and old New England feel makes for a warm and intimate step back in history. Another bonus, they have live music down in the bar 7 nights a week! Fantastic place, and in a great location just outside the main strip, so easy to walk to if you need to, but you can find parking easier (although the parking is pretty tight). My wife had the lobster Mac and cheese and we also had the lemon pepper chicken. The pub looked pretty cool in the basement and looked like an old school British pub. But we are upstairs which was still really nice.
