Easiest 5 star I've given in a long time. From the food, the service, to the amazing drinks. Will be coming back very soon! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
My boyfriend and I were blown away by how well done such a simple dish like chicken and waffles was done! The chicken was amazingly seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the dip that came with it was phenomenal as well! The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and very clean, and the staff provided fantastic service. Our server Tiffany was great and the head chef Diego was nice enough to come out to receive our compliments for the food and even tell us his secret to an amazing dish. Absolutely cannot wait to come back again!
Service was excellent! Tiffany, the waitress and Mike, the bartender were so attentive and helpful. They make a good team, and were very welcoming. Nice atmosphere too. They make me want to go back. I order seafood risotto and well that is why I am not giving 5 stars. Mostly risotto and barely any seafood. maybe 4 big shrimps and not completely peeled, so I could not get to rest of shrimp. This is not a meal you want to use your hands with.
Well from the experience I had and I’m not really thrilled nor excited. Thought this was gonna be a good experience Service was friendly, the manager miss heard me and gave us a macchiato instead of a caramel latte I don’t know how she did that. The food was all right could’ve sworn I sold mold on an old piece of bread but we picked it off dug deeper into, and it was fine, it I’m gonna chalk it off as the bread is obviously supposed to be stale because it’s getting older. you want it like that because it leads to better french toast. The buns for the chicken sandwiches were not toasted if you’re going to make a sandwich you want to toast it so it’s crispy when you bite into it not an almost watery soggy mess. Can’t say though that the taste wasn’t there on the sandwich piece it’s probably one of the best things I’ve had a while. The manager also apologize for not having the menus up-to-date on their website which kind of put a bad taste in our mouth. There’s also no coffee menu which kind of complicated things a little bit. When I go back maybe but not until they get their act together. I know I’ve been saying that about a lot of places but it’s truth the truth I don’t send any words I’m not paid for these reviews I want people on both sides of both being management and customers to see you for that what it is. What I recommend this place to other people yes but it might taste this isn’t my place until they fix things a little bit more. I’m still hooked on that sandwich though just a sogginess killed it
Went for brunch, not many options but what they did have was delicious. For Galentine's Day (lol), they had a special at the cafe, the Ferrero Rocher Latte. Greatest drink I've tasted in forever. Mimosas were also delicious.
Tried a new restaurant in Hackensack. Good service but the music was too loud so it was hard to hear the waiter with the mask on. Bubbly Cider - Apple Cider, Aperol, Prosecco, Splash Club Cheese and Fries Short Ribs and Mash with Broccoli Rabe (very tender ribs, rabe was a little tough) Penne with Sweet Sausage - Mushroom, bacon, red sauce and red wine (very good, but a bit to salty)
I truly used to really love this place until the closing and re-opening under “New management.” It’s very sad that a once great hidden gem in the up and coming Hackensack has been completely dismantled. They used to take pride in the quality of great looking food, service, and wonderfully mixed cocktails. Now that is no longer a thing. Stick to TV dinners. My meal was terrible. I took one sip, one bite, ask for a check, tipped, and that was the night. Being a resident here I do sure hope they get it together soon. If your looking to grab a beer and fries while watching a game, then that’s all I’d recommend. Sorry for this review but I want you all to do better that’s all. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50

I was walking around Hackensack taking pictures when I spotted this place. It was too early for lunch but I made a mental note to go back around noon. I'm so glad I tried this place. The interior is very nice and felt pretty upscale to me, for a "diner". For some reason I was getting a Santa Monica vibe and there's nothing wrong with that when you're really on Main Street in Hackensack, NJ. The host was also my server and he could not have been nicer. He checked on me several times to see if I needed anything. I ordered coffee and a burger. The burger was called "THE MAIN BURGER" (short rib angus blend, horseradish aged cheddar, bourbon sauce & pickles) and I can honestly say it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. I'm 57, so I've had a lot of burgers. It was THAT good. The fries were great too, although I should have gotten a side salad instead ... cause I'm trying to lose weight!. So, very nice environment, great service and delicious food. I will definitely be back. Oh, prices were VERY reasonable, too. I'm a little confused about the name, as I have seen, "Cap Diner" and "Cap's on Main" and I think I also saw, "Cap o' Joe" or something like that. They should decided what their branding should be and stick with it. It's needs to be easy for people to Google!

The newly renovated Caps on Main is a sight for sore eyes. I was greeted by a welcoming host who showed us to our seating area as quick as a wink. The ambience was warm and inviting. I had a chicken avocado sandwhich with a side of sweet potato fries priced at $11 and my significant other had a baked ziti. Overall the food was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable. New Diner! The food is very good. Some reviews can be misleading, so I wanted to submit my own. This is a newer spot so it’s very clean. The servers/staff are getting settled and comfortable. I think the service was great. It’s very hard to get the practice as well as customer flow after Covid, they’re doing an excellent job. As far as the food goes; Very good, I eat Mac and cheese everywhere and I really enjoyed this one. The prices are fair so I definitely recommend. They do also offer milkshakes and alcohol at their counter bar.
