I’ll be dreaming of these tacos every day for the rest of my life. Let’s taco bout it. (See what I did there?) if you know me or read my reviews there’s three things I could live on forever. Tacos of course, Pho and Cold Brew. There are a couple taco spots I frequent, but I always listen for new places to check out. If they’re local I definitely have to come and support. My daughter and I were in the mood for some Quesa Birria tacos so I looked around to see what my options were near El Mirage since we were in the area supporting another local spot. My eyes instantly saw Calizona and I knew this was where we were headed. I’ve heard great things and I’m honestly surprised I hadn’t stopped yet since our favorite butcher shop/market for asada and such is so close. I followed the directions and knew where to stop when I saw the red truck. The lot it is parked in is small, but there was decent parking. I can see it filling up quick. It is located in front of a busy tire shop. As I stated it is a food truck so there is no inside seating. There is however multiple tables with tent cover. Each table has a cooler with salsa to keep cold. The menu is simple and so many tasty options. After a few questions we went with six quesa Birria tacos which to my surprise free consommé because we ordered more than three. We ended up with two consommé which was more than enough even with my daughter dunking those tacos like her life depended on it ha ha. Let me tell you if you could win a taco contest on looks and smell alone they’d win every time. Presentation was on point, some lemons topped a few and oh man from the first bite to the last we couldn’t get enough. The flavor was fantastic. The consommé kicked it up to a whole new level and the toppings fresh. We arrived around 1pm so it wasn’t too busy; just a few other people. Service was good and the cashier gave us some salsa containers to fill to take our food with us. It was a bit cold so while we did take it to go we sat and ate it in the car. Make sure you grab plenty of napkins because those juices run wild. Salsa options had a good kick. I already am planning our next visit to bring back more family and try the rest of the menu. If you’re a lover of Birria then run don’t walk. This is definitely a piece of taco heaven in the much needed west valley! First time I've ever had a "bone-in" burrito. Ordered three birria burritos. Brought them home. About halfway through my burrito I jab the fork in and hear a loud crack. I try stabbing it a couple more times thinking maybe it was just a very tough crunchy outer tortilla. Turns out it's an entire bone. I've never had this happen at a food truck. Won't be coming back. Excellent food! Very affordable. Tacos are $3 and tacos with cheese are $3.75. They have birria, asada, shrimp, etc. Beans and rice for sides as well as some soups and quesadillas. They had a Jamaica and orchata the night we went and both were excellent! It's been a long time since I had good drinks at a Mexican food restaurant. They take cash and credit cards. There is a nice covered seating area with multiple tables, and each table has three homemade hot sauces, kept in a cooler with ice packs. Most people were ordering to go but it was a nice night we so we ate there. It was all very clean and well kept. We saw several families as well. The rice, beans, and cucumber lime agua Fresca were delicious. The keto Al pastor was crispy and perfectly cooked. We enjoyed the Al pastor as it was not too goopy. The asada was great too, with a smoky fresh flavor. This would have been 5 stars but the quesa birria was soggy. The birria and consome had good flavor but I want my taco crispy. Honestly, these are probably the best tacos I’ve had in AZ plus the burritos are super good!The service and setting is great with a family feel. The younger gentleman with glasses and longer hair was polite and courteous, you don’t get service like this much anymore . I will recommend this little taco spot to anyone and everyone I know. I was disappointed with the small size of my $4 tacos that came with very little cabeza. Taste was great but two tacos for $8.50 that were essentially small corn street tacos didn't meet my expectations given the other reviews. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Mid at best. Carne asada taco was all fat and gristle. Quesabirria had the promise of good flavor but light meat. Carne asada burrito was filled with beans and rice every third bite had a piece of meat. 4 tacos and Burrito was $27 was good not great.
