We waited 45 min for a table, our appetizer was served quickly, but then the main meal took an hour to be served. Our waitress stopped checking on us and disappeared until we hunted her down. They later apologized and blamed new kitchen management, but offered no discount or compensation for the poor service. Finally had a good experience at this restaurant. Many previous trips were not good and hadn't been in a few years because of that. This trip, however, was excellent, Seating was great, waitress was great and attentive, and food was exactly as ordered. Part of the Loudon county BBQ trail and kitchen manager went above and beyond to talk to us about that and give us some trinkets. Took some out of towners to Calhoun's in Lenoir City, on the lake. We all had the fish & chips, but different sides. Breading was crispy and flaky. We had tots, creamy coleslaw, sweet potato, and loaded mashed taters. I have to remember to take pics. Service was top shelf. Great staff, on the water, oysters, nice choice of beers can be had in a large enough mug for anyone. On last visit the oysters were meatier and the nachos were fantastic! Fresh jalapeno s and smoky pork. Wings meaty too.Was told you need reservations for bar area??? yet there was plenty of seating the whole time we were there. I think I server was new or stoned ha. Just went 10/31/23 and waitress Shelly AKA Barbie did a fantastic job keeping the ole guys complicated orders straight and the drinks full. Food (oysters a bit puny) was fantastic.
