During our memorable trip to Caletha, Madeira, we decided to make a stop at the charming Calhau Beach club situated within the Savoy Hotel. The moment we arrived, we were immediately captivated by the laid-back and relaxing ambiance. The beach club's strategic location offered a breathtaking view of the vast ocean, adding an enchanting touch to the whole experience. Once settled, we eagerly ordered a variety of drinks and snacks to savor the local flavors. The service was impeccable, and the staff made sure we felt at home throughout our visit. As we sipped our refreshing beverages and indulged in the delectable snacks, laughter and camaraderie filled the air, making it a perfect setting to enjoy a leisurely afternoon with both our cherished friends and beloved family members. The beach club's prime location and inviting atmosphere. We highly recommend it to fellow travelers looking for an unforgettable experience during their Caletha trip. Price per person €50+ Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great food also perfect looking. We were in a group of 4 and had four different menues. All 4 were happy. Only Ceviche was not as tender as expected

Perfect place to work, relax and have some fun. Good choice of snacks and drinks - prices still reasonable as for hotel bar. Tasty Club Sandwich and great salads. Nice service! Awesome Bali beds and sun beds for rent. Very nice beach and stunning view. I love to work here and then take a nap in the sun. Not very crowded in the low season - in the high season better come early to get a spot or sun bed. Love the place.

Calhau beach club is a café/restaurant close to a Pebble beach in Calheta. Very calm in the morning with slow, nice music perfect for a cup of coffee in the middle of the morning. Lunch options are quite nice, with 4/5 veggie options. Price per person €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Tostas
Very nice mini burgers, comfortable seating on chairs and lounge seats. Cute little lizards running amok between the tables. Price per person €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We visit Madeira every year for more than 10 yrs. And we know a lot of places. Despite the location which is nice (who doesnt like the sound of the ocean and the waves) the food at the calhau beach club unfortunately is just 1 thing: DISAPPOINTING and NOT WORTH TO EAT there. Cheap food, overpriced and poor service. Highly recommended that you better go somewhere else! Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Prices have increased dramatically (2021->2022). No more tuna toast available. 1.5 L water on the menu is just 1 L in reality. ( 5 Euro per bottle). Now it's imported Luso water from mainland Portugal instead of local Atlantida agua. Also the "beer & fries" deal is gone. Savoy management try to make more money by installing a "beach club" and make it more "instagramable". Showers are moved to the pebble beach. Positive: a small part of the beach is still available for the public. Staff is friendly. New furniture at the bar area. More food variety on the menu - but dishes are more expensive than before.

The location is nice, but the food was average. We tried the toast with avo and eggs and a club sandwich. We weren't impressed. Price per person €15–20
