Cute, rustic, lined with cases of pastries, the staff are kind and helpful. Our Persian black tea was strong and smokey. The walnut baklava was great. About four little tables to sit at while you drink and eat. Little to no music so peaceful.

Food from heaven! I moved away from San Diego but I asked my friend to take balboa bakery all the way for me. My persian azizam pissed them off saying this is not even the authentic middle eastern bakery but trust me that little brown flower will make you forget what authenticity is
This place is quite colorful and I never eat dessert but it’s my birthday tomorrow so I thought to mix it up. I’ll be honest I spit some of them out but you must know… I’m very picky and it honestly felt like those moments where you take a treat from one of those random chocolate boxes. It was exactly like that because nothing is labeled, but I’m sure the staff will tell you but there was this hungry kid behind me. So i felt I had to quickly choose before the kid started attacking. There were good treats and there were bad ones but everyone is different. Never be afraid to try something new and bring a glass of milk. My mouth felt dry at times…
Very delicious!! I just had a chickpea cookie (not pictured… devoured too fast!) with pistachio crumbs and it was delish! I was jonesing for sweets this eve and this was perfect. Not too sweet and decadent and gave me my fix. Very understated treats that over-deliver. I had a walnut cookie (left) that is tasty, slightly crunchy, airy, yet moist like the ends of a macrons. Wow. I picked up different varieties of baklava too. Haven’t had them yet but I’m sure it won’t disappoint. I want to come back and try the almond cake with creme. Delightful lil treasure to find. Yummo!
We had a selection of delicious cookies and pastry's at a wedding. Everything was freshly made and also the presentation was perfect. Thanks for the great experience, we can definitely recommend this bakery if you love pastry and Persian specialties.
What an absolute gem of a bakery! The quality of ingredients is what sets this bakery apart. If you know where the Chick-fil-A is in Clairemont on Balboa you can find this bakery which is behind it next to Sufi. Highly recommend the creme puff & Napoleon
Cakee Bakey offers middle eastern pastries and cakes as well as coffee drinks. Both are delicious. A few tables provide seating for dinners. Otherwise there's counter service at the small bakery located near the Balboa International Market.
