Celebrating a milestone occasion out of town can be challenging, yet being referred to Yamir Perez of Cake & Cakes in the Palm Springs area was the best and 'sweetest' thing that made our celebration complete! We ordered the Divide and Crumble which had an ethereal vanilla bean mousse and a delicious strawberry jam filling. It was decorated with cookie crumble and lemon flowers from Yamir's home garden. Cake & Cakes does the most beautiful and delicious desserts! A friend of mine shared a birthday cake he got and knew I had to order something for my family for the holidays. I have been ordering Thanksgiving Day treats for my family in Palm Springs the last two years. We had the cranberry cake last year and this year we got the pumpkin pie with the cookie leaves. It was a huge hit! We ate the pie and the family picked at the cookies on the counter for the next couple of days. The pie was more of a tart style but I thought it was MUCH better ratio of crust to filling than a traditional pumpkin pie and the cookies were light and buttery.

The cakes are not only incredible organic architectural masterpieces, they are so delectable. The flavors are punchy and often unique.
