Tried this place one morning while going for a walk. Was pleasantly surprised how good the breakfast special was. It had a waffle, 2 eggs, bits of fried bacon, and ham along with 2 pieces of toast. We went at 6 am. The folks were warm and friendly. Food is good and a bargain. While we were waiting for our food, many locals came and got their breakfast. That says a lot right there. We didn't come to PR to eat at Mc'Ds or a tourist restaurant. We came for good local food and that is what we got. Highly recommend C la D. We were shocked by how large the breakfast sandwiches were for $4! You will wait a little longer than McDonalds, but they are made fresh and huge! The person working when we went (I think his name was Xavier) was also delightful and it was overall a fantastic place to feed ourselves on the cheap before spending the day hiking! This is our second time visiting Luquillo and we LOVE this place. The food is always hot and fresh, the service is great. It’s super affordable. It’s 100 percent locally owned and operated. I can’t say enough good things about this place. We go here every morning during our visit! Highly recommend.
