About
Do not leave without eating perfectly cooked prawns, chicken and steak salads. The recipe for success of this restaurant is its good pancakes, cheesecakes and muffins. It's easy to find Cafe Rousse due to the great location. It is good to try delicious wine. Great iced coffee, milkshakes or cappuccino are waiting for you at this place. The knowledgeable staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. Terrific service is something clients agree upon here. Prices at this spot are worth attention since they're adequate. Many guests describe the decor as spectacular. If you come to this restaurant, certainly, you are to like the surrounding pretty atmosphere. But google users rated Cafe Rousse and it didn't gain a high rating.

Went there for lunch on 6 May 2023, 2 adults and one child. The lady who sat us down was supposed to be our waitress (according to the lady who ended up serving us) but someone else had to take our order and serve us. According to the menu the orange juice is freshly squeezed (I'd recommend you make sure to ask for no ice). The cosmopolitan we ordered was way too light in colour and didn't taste like a cosmo much. The pizza was fine. The Tiana seafood platter (which costs R209) was great, according to my sister. The waitress was friendly and helpful. If you want a seat "inside" make sure to flag down a waitress/waiter as they have seats on the "outside" which makes it difficult for them to tell whether you are passing by or a potential customer seeking a seat. This was probably my worst cafe experience. Their waiters are okay-ish. They give off the impression of not wanting to work. We waited 30 minutes for the food to arrive. It was not up to temperature. The food was below average. We had pizzas. I had a Regina and my guest the Californian with avocado. Both pizzas were tasteless. None of the toppings had flavor. The only thing that was adding flavor to the pizza is the air that I'm breathing from other restaurants. Their drinks are severely overpriced in my opinion. After the disappointment with the pizzas. I did not order any drinks for the sake of being disappointed more. Some people come from a long day feeling tired, depressed, or happy. I wouldn't recommend going here. Breakfast was very nice, friendly and quick Service. Cappuccino was nice, but slightly cold, ordered a second cappuccino and it wasn’t as nice as the first one. Only real problem is the cost of the food, overly priced in my opinion. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person R 300–350
Warm welcome. Lots of seating available, comfortable and not squished. Shop got quite busy and drinks took a while to arrive. Portion sizes were good although I expected the fish to be a bit bigger. Crumbed chicken was very dry, the sauce and salad accompanying it was very good. Cajun chicken sandwich was very generous. No faults on it at all. Chips on meals were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Overall, will be back when I’m in the area again.
My husband and I tried their omelette, was awful, very dry. (Informed the waitress -was not her fault She said she will let the kitchen staff know.). Service was very slow and it was long before rush time. Will not go back. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Tygervalley Centre Service Rd, Bellville Park. I visited Cafe Rousse for the first time with my daughter. The vibe is lovely and the place is cosy and the waitress was friendly and observant. The food was fresh and delicious. I tried the seafood linguine pasta and the calamari, prawns and muscles were the perfect texture. Couldn’t possibly have been more delicious 😇👌👏 I cannot call this a negative, as I knew beforehand that this was NOT a strictly halaal concern, but it’s a pity there aren’t more options for kosher and halaal customers. My daughter had pancakes with chocolate sauce and ice cream, which she also enjoyed very much. The hot chocolate was lovely as well. All in all an excellent experience ⭐️👏
Went there for Lunch .Ordered a chicken wrap. The food was dry and bland. The cuppachino was fine ,but the cup was way to small. This uses to be my favorite lunch spot, but I will re consider in future. Waitresses also not very attentive. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person R 150–200 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

just wanted a coffee while passing time in the mall on Saturday midday. Coffee was cold and not fresh at all. I complained to the waiter who promptly took it back to the kitchen and microwaved it to a point that the mug could not even be touched. I went to check the coffee station and no fresh coffee in sight, only 2 flasks. I will never go back.
