This Cafe Río is always fast, friendly, clean and the food is always fresh! I love the sweet pork barbacoa burrito smothered with the tomatillo ranch sauce - it's so flavorful and different from your average fast-casual burrito! I asked for extra lettuce and extra pico - they were both cold, flavorful and absolutely delicious! Something about this burrito today is ahhhhmazing and I wish I lived closer! I should've taken a picture of my burrito before I ate it! Ha! The manager Mike finished up my order and offered me a sample of the new elotes (street corn), which were super tasty! He also stopped by my table to check how my meal was prepared and told be about the app where I can earn points for free food! Every employee I spoke to and observed was friendly and helpful! Ordered takeout tonight for dinner. We got a burrito and a quesadilla. The burrito was good, but the quesadilla was sitting in liquid and was a soaking wet mushy mess, like someone had spilled water all over it. Ended up having to throw the quesadilla out because it was so gross. This place is too expensive to have quality control issues like this. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

I ordered a Burrito w Steak, enchilada style. I also ordered a Small drink. My total for the two was $19.29. The food was in fact pretty good. It was nothing exceptional however. The location was very busy. The staff kept the kitchen and the restaurant clean continuously, which is good considering many of the previous comments. Negatively, one of the kitchen workers came out and sat on break at a table near me. He was speaking to a woman and then a man on his cell, on speaker mode. Blasting both conversations for all to hear for his entire break. When did this become acceptable in public??? Especially for employees? I will not be going back. To me, it's not worth the extra $$$$. I can go-to a local Mexican restaurant, toss in a tip, and get a much larger, more varied meal. Or go across the street for a few bucks less. If this is the quality I can expect then I'm hyped. Much tastier than Chipotle. In particular the quality of the meat, chips and they have dessert! :) I also like the addition of the cojita cheese. Chipotle's chips are practically inedible because they are too salty so I was devouring these haha so good. Also I had a much more expensive Mexican place recently and this was better so I appreciate the value. Highly recommended I hope my next experience is on par with this one. Had to delete my old review and write a new one. Huge improvement from the last time I visited here. They finally turned down the AC (was always too cold before) and brought fresh lettuce. This place is amazing!! Wide variety of food entrees and drinks. Very busy most of the time so plan on some time but worth the wait. Staff is friendly and at times very interesting. We frequent this place every time we drive past Castle Rock. Our appreciation for Cafe Rio goes back ~10 years and we appreciate having the option in Colorado! Depending on when you come, the restaurant can be pretty busy. That’s a good thing after all! Who wants to eat at an empty restaurant!? What we enjoy is the consistency in quality and service we get every time. The food is always fresh and because of the popularity it stays fresh throughout the day. Everything is prepared here at the time it is served. We’ve probably tried everything on the menu and never been disappointed. Our favorites are the chicken and pork salads. Today we also got a kids quesadilla to hold us over u til we could get to enjoy our salads and that was absolutely delicious too! Given the flexibility to add what you want you can make your meal vegetarian or gluten free also. The staff is great and they all work hard and fast. This location has an outside seating area, alongside the inside, air conditioned salon. It’s only a few moments off of I-25, so very easy to get to and right next to the Castle Rock outlets in case you need anything else to do. Overall, we will continue coming back here until we have a Cafe Rio closer to where we live! Came here tonight. And I gotta say, Cafe Rio has some really fresh food. My family got a bowl and a quesadilla, and the food was really good. It was warm and flavorful, and the ingredients tasted like they were just made. And for the value of it all, it was a very fair price. My only thing was, we were going to order guacamole, but it was brown. Although their food is fresh most of the time. I recommend coming to Cafe rio. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Always delicious and fresh here. Sometimes the wait can be a bit longer, but it's definitely worth it. Whatever you get make sure to get the Cilantro Vinagrette in the side, it makes a perfect compliment to any dish. Also the mint limeade is amazing as well. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The sweet pulled pork was to die for. Amazing burrito and the staff filled it to the brim. The only bad part was no horchata or any other specialty drinks.
