Absolutely fantastic and delicious food is served here. My garden salad was fresh and crisp, with a divine dressing served on the side. It is relatively inexpensive for such magnificent quality.
My Pork in Mustard Sauce with potatoes was simply exquisite. The softest and tastiest pork I've eaten in the last 6 months of travelling SE Asia. (The portion was not large, but well overcome by its quality.)
The prices are a tad high in comparison to most Laos food, but not really much more seeing the quality it's magnificent.
The service was excellent, and my meals arrived quite promptly. I was even allowed to dine in their covered outside section with my dog....next to a lovely water feature and pond.
Very highly recommended....I'll be back before leaving for Thakhek to devour some more delicious food.

Café chez boune is a delightful restaurant with a fantastic breakfast in Savannakhet, Laos. It's the first and truly the best breakfast spot in town. The coffee is delicious, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. This authentic family restaurant has been around for nearly as long as restaurants have existed in Savannakhet, and it's undoubtedly the best.

Restaurant held by a friendly family serving delicious european food. We had the duck breast and the local steak with french fries, and both tasted like those we would eat in a european brasserie restaurant.

Hands down, 5 stars. My wife and I both agree. The staff is very attentive, but they don't hover around the table making you feel in a hurry. The owner speaks English well enough. Quality food. All five orders were well prepared and presented. Building decor is well maintained and decored. Classy music plays in the background. We had several sandwiches, beer, and the cream of mushroom soup. All delicious. The soup won 1st place. If you like mushrooms, you would love this soup.
This place is a definite nice night out kind of place. The combination of customer service, mature beverages, ambiance and food are guaranteed to refresh anyone that has spent any amount of time in Laos.
Excellent food and service. The owner was very nice and her English great. Food was very tasty. You can tell she uses quality ingredients, and most options appear to be homemade. My apple juice was fresh squeezed. The hot bread was so good, especially with butter, and the homemade jam was great too. The salad was so fresh and I really enjoyed the vinegarette dressing. If I lived here, I'd be going here all the time. Did I mention the prices were very reasonable? I absolutely stuffed my face and was expecting to pay twice as much as I did, considering the quality.

Food was delicious and the ingredients were the so fresh. We had the chef salad to share and a T-bone steak each. The owner also makes her own bread which is complimentary and hot/fresh. The owner has good English and very friendly.
5 stars for food and service. Quiet and roomy it's the perfect place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I have eaten here multiple times. Nice owner too.
