Excellent dinner at Cafe Lurcat during restaurant week! The atmosphere is gorgeous and inviting. The quality of food matches the fine dining experience. 🐄 We started off with the Wagyu steak tartare and the corned beef tongue. Both were tender and seasoned perfectly. For our main entrées, we ordered the Amish chicken and the pork chop. Our main dish order took a little longer than expected. Our waitress informed us that a large party (20 people!) was in front of our order, so she offered us a side dish to accompany our main meals and we added the sweet potatoes. 🐓 The main entrées were well done — chicken was beautifully carved and presented. The skin was tasty. The black rice and sauce were nice compliments to the meat. 🐖 The pork chop was a beautiful, thick cut of meat. We ordered it medium and it may have been ever so slightly cooked a little under medium. Seasoning was perfect and had a nice, tart flavor coming through with the sauerkraut. 🍠 🌟 WOW! 🤩 The sweet potatoes were the star of the evening! Sweet, savory, bright and fresh with lemon, crispy skins… just wow! Order the sweet potatoes!! 🍰 For dessert, we ordered the chocolate panna cotta and olive oil cake. Both were absolutely stunning and would fit right in at any patisserie! Excellent flavors, textures, and presentation! Faultless! I’ll definitely be coming back! I have never reviewed a restaurant before, but our meal here for Restaurant Week was so disappointing that I feel the need to let others know. Our reservation was for 5:30, and even though the restaurant was nearly empty, service was exceptionally slow. Our party of four ordered many of the items on the Restaurant Week menu, and none of them was memorable. None of the food was bad, but for $325 for four people, it felt extraordinarily overpriced for forgettable food. If a meal like that is a splurge for you like it was for us, I recommend going elsewhere. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

This place was great. Me and my husband first time dining there last night and I loved it. The food was really good so was the dessert. My husband thought the food was good but portion was to small for him. Our server was amazing and she was very very sweet so nice we loved her. She better get the tip I gave her! Highly recommend the duck leg that was really good I had that and the olive oil cake for dessert. My husband had the lamb chops and the mini cinnamon sugar donuts for dessert. The salmon was spot on. Moist, tender and flavorful. Husband had duck and same thing...perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our sides were phenomenal, trust us when we say to get the sweet potatoes and the caramelized cabbage! Our server was a delight. Personal, professional, and checked in on us often. This is my 4th time here and I’ve never been on the patio at night before so this was a different experience for me. I felt the patio could use its own lighting rather than depending on the streetlights and the Lurcat sign. I felt it was difficult to read the menu. Once I realized my table was missing a candle the waitress Lindsey told me it was available by request as to not waste materials. I liked that it was quieter outside rather than inside the restaurant was quite noisy with the music playing overhead and the chatter of guests. Lindsey was great! And another server/runner/busser was even helpful to box my leftovers up for me! I wish more restaurants kept this practice! It’s my favorite service! 💕 The Apple Cheese Chive was the best salad I have EVER had. I don’t like lettuce so it was so refreshing to have a fruit salad option that isn’t like my moms marshmallow “apple salad”. I feel like this salad needs to boast on its menu that it has been there for 30 years under D’Amico’s as Ben the manager told me the apples are Pink Lady and the cheese is Manchego. I was able to order a NA daiquiri on the menu and asked to add a coconut rum to it as the cocktail options weren’t sweet enough for me AND have rum. Service was slow at first but seemed to ramp up after 9:30 at the official close time. My reservation was at 9pm but I really only came for drinks and dessert this time. Dessert tastes amazing like I rolled my eyes inside my skull 💀 I could have died happy. It looked very underwhelming in presentation. I thought at first it was just a plain scoop of vanilla. I wanted to see some sort of razzle dazzle like a line of peanut butter drizzle over my peanut butter ice cream. At least a whip cream star out of a can? Anything? Please? Forgive my high standards now I just finished watching The Bear on Hulu and my eyes are even more open to detail than ever before.
