YES, YES and YES! This quaint cafe exemplifies that sometimes less, is truly more. They had live music, which gave this place an upbeat tempo while I enjoyed my morning brew and watched the playoff games. The server was fantastic. The menu was simple but… Never in my 30 years of living have I had the Chef serve me my food personally. That only added to my experience. The biscuits and gravy are hands down the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had in my life, hats off to the Chef! I live an hour and a half away and I will happily make this drive once a week just to experience this food and the vibrancy of life the staff brings. I promise you will not walk out of here without a smile! Pros: ~ EVERYTHING Cons: ~ You not going Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Such a great dining experience! All food is cooked to order, very savory and fresh. Went the first time during Cruising the Coast with out of town guest, super hit! Very reasonable pricing for the quality of the food. Check them out on your next visit to Biloxi. Eat there and then go down the street to hear live music at Ground Zero. Wow! The food here will blow you away! We went there for the dinner show to see the Anita Baker Tribute. I had the chicken parmesan and my husband and mother had the shrimp Alfredo. It was all amazingly good. I have to admit I was surprised since most dinner theaters and shows tend to serve unremarkable fare, but this was incredibly delicious. And the entertainment was top notch as well. Kudos to everyone, especially the waitstaff. I will most certainly be going back. Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Cafe 871 is hands down one of the best hidden gems in Biloxi. I am from Alabama and Google them for a breakfast spot. I'm so glad we went with them. The food was exceptional and the custom service was amazing. Lindsey was so patient with us in helping us decide what to eat..everything was great. We had the Surfside Waffle, Shrimp Creole Omelet and the Beignets with Pecon Praline... If you're on the fence about going... GO! In the interest of full disclosure, let me reveal that my wife and I received a gift certificate to this restaurant from a contest on the radio. We had brunch on a very busy Sunday and there were many things we enjoyed, though the service was very slow from the kitchen. The servers were as attentive as possible and apologetic. But this is a new business and I think they were just a little overwhelmed with the wonderful turnout. We wish them only good things and we look forward to seeing how they continue to grow and successfully manage the large crowds when they have them. The food is creative, inspired by the Gulf Coast and New Orleans. We especially enjoyed the New Orleans- style barbecue shrimp, and they do it better than many restaurants that are more expensive. They are doing some things that are different from other restaurants and we like that because we get tired of the same old thing being done by many dining establishments. Also, and this is refreshing, the prices were reasonable. The ambiance is nice and on certain days they have live music which is most enjoyable. We wish them well and we look forward to going back. We recommend a little patience until they get the kinks worked out because we think that in the long run this will be a hit.
