This place is closed more than its open. From lack of employees, only cook is sick, it's too nice outside, plumbing and then construction. I won't recommend this place anymore to G.P employees cause more than likely it will be closed. Service Take out Meal type Other
The food at Café 235 in Toledo is truly ONO! It was like being transported back to the Islands. We lived on Oʻahu for 10 years and ate many plate lunches. Al and David have truly mastered the plate lunch with a Dakine serving of "2-scoop rice with mac salad" and your choice of one very large entrée or two half entrées from a wide selection of entrées (chicken katsu is our favorite). A Dakine plate lunch is large enough for one very hungry adult (think Samoan) and, actually, it was more than I could complete in a single sitting. They also offer a Keiki (literally, the “little one”) serving with an entrée, 1-scoop rice, and mac salad. We also had to test their Spam Musubi which was my staple when I needed a quick snack on the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Campus. You may wrinkle your nose or give me “stink-eye” for suggesting Spam but until you have had a slice of Spam on a cake of plain white rice wrapped in nori (dried seaweed), you have not truly tasted Spam nor have you experienced Hawaiʻi. These guys have Spam Musubi nailed. It too was excellent and with a wide variety of sauces. Mahalo nui loa Al and David! We tried this restaurant for the first time today. Wow! There is not enough to say. The food was amazing, sizes were big ! The service was perfect! Food was great! It was a quaint little neighborhood Restaurant. Everyone seemed happy and even a bit giddy when their meal arrived. The owner went out of his way to make sure our needs were met. And answered a whole host of questions I had regarding his experience, the areas landscape the restaurants beginnings his experience and Future goals for the current restaurant and more. A definite return for us!
Super delicious variety of food. I love the Hawaiian macaroni salad! Trying the newly added street tacos next. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Slice of Cake
