This place will always be ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ in my book! Never once have I had a bad experience at Cackle & Oink BBQ… food, atmosphere AND service is top notch every single time! It’s hard to find that nowadays. If I can find pictures, I’ll add them, but my husband and I had Cackle & Oink catered at our wedding and we received countless compliments on the food! We frequently dine in or take out and our 1yo son LOVES the ribs as much as we do. They are melt in your mouth, fall of the bones, full of flavor, and finger lickin’ good! I also recommend the jalapeño cornbread and baked beans. But, in all honesty, I haven’t tried a menu item I was disappointed with. I was not disappointed by the food or service here. The staff were supper friendly and came by my families table three different times to ask if everything was okay and if we could use anything else. The ribs here were AMAZING. They were the best I'd ever had. They were super tender and full of flavor. I was shocked at the size of their kids' sandwich. It was the same size as my daughter's regular sandwich. Can't wait to come back. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes BBQ Ribs

Wow! You only think you are a BBQ fan until you have tried Cackle & Oink. By far the best BBQ I've had! The staff was absolutely amazing, and took the time to tell me about the menu because it was my first time in. The ribs, brisket, smoked sausage, and jalapeno sausage were great! There is nothing fried on the menu, so I suggest trying the black eyed peas, green beans, taters, cornbread, and potato salad. The BBQ sauces are amazing! Don't even look at the soft drink dispenser, get a cup of ice, and head for the sweet tea! So great! The 3 hour drive was worth it. 😉 I'll be back! Thank y'all for being wonderful and making it a great time. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Pick Your Sauce

This was one of the best BBQ JOINTS we visited in Texas. Staff was inviting accommodating and on top of getting everything we needed for an excellent dining experience. Small and hard to get a seat sometimes but well worth waiting. Can't say enough about the food. BBQ brisket, pork, coleslaw and a side of jalapeno cornbread, which was amazing. Excellent all around and the price was great too. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Pulled Pork Sausage

Great little place to enjoy backyard BBQ. Helpings are large, you get your moneys worth. I'm also a celiac and ate here without any issue. Ordered the brisket and pulled chicken with a baked potato smothered in cheese sour cream and butter. Also had the Plano BBQ sauce. No reactions :) Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Special thank you to Shawn, who took our order and checked up on us, and to Micah, who checked on us twice! Shawn was able to explain the details of the food while making it the center of topic. My daughter mentioned it was our first time there, so he went over every item category with us. Thank, Shawn! And thank you, Micah, for making sure we had everything we needed during our lunch. Now, about that food. The trophey display says it all. Great food. We had the pulled chicken, the sausage, the brisket, and some great sides. Everything was delicious. We haven't really had a good BBQ feast in a while. If you enjoy good smoked meat with your choice of sauces and plenty of side items, you give these guys a try. And I must mention the "Cowboy Beans." Best beans I've ever tasted. I will experiment relentlessly until I figure out how to make them the way that they do. Thank, guys and gals! We drove from Plano to Sherman to shop and decided to find a place to eat. We picked this place based on the Google reviews. We loved it. Our party ordered beef brisket plates and a sandwich. The brisket was good, very good! Employees were welcoming and friendly and the dining room is—entertaining. There are dollar bills on the ceiling and license plates everywhere. We really liked the Plano tea and Plano BBQ sauce. We know they smoke their own meat because we saw the firewood outside. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I’ve eaten at Cackle & Oink a few times and always been pleased by their food.  They make a really nice sausage; the jalapeno one is my personal favorite.  I also really like their pork ribs.  The brisket is also solid. As far as sides, the baked beans, potato salad, and jalapeno cornbread are all quite good.  I also like that they have a variety of sauces; my favorites are the Plano and Sweet Willie. I cannot personally speak for the desserts, but I’ve been tempted to try by the reactions I’ve seen from other patrons.  (Typically it's someone trying to mumble, “Oh my God, this is incredible” past a mouthful of pie.) I also really like their staff.  Each time I’ve visited, the people behind the counter seemed genuinely glad to see me and were happy to make suggestions as to what I should try next.  (Thanks Rom and Cassidy!)  I’ve also chatted with D’Lanie about football and some of the restaurant’s history.  And lest I leave anyone out, Wes did give me a friendly wave from the back.  Cackle & Oink has a great, welcoming vibe that makes you want to come back. So if you’re looking for a BBQ place with good food and a pleasant atmosphere, definitely check out this place.
