The staff is friendly, food options look nice. As a pub restaurant the drinks menu should be extended. The decor is a nice and upscale sports motif. Good spacing between tables. I recommend the music to be a bit softer when there are minimal people inside, maybe increasing later in the night with more people making noise.

Excellent burgers. For me personally the best burger in town. I notice reviews that complain about the extent of the menu, but as a pub, I definitely am OK with a limited menu as long as the items are of good quality. Maybe they even allow you to order from the other restaurants in the hotel; the main restaurant serve very good pizzas (albeit a bit pricey) - 4 options but all very good. Drinks options is also not super extensive, but most people will probably find what they regularly enjoy. The staff in all of JW is super friendly and attentive, and we are visiting often.
Amazing food and atmosphere to chill and watch games.
Wow. What an amazing Restaurant. One of the best restaurant which I have ever visited. Staff service is good. Almost all premium liquor is available. If you are sports lover then you should visit this restaurant. Even you can play watch and enjoy at the same time.

To make this fair, I'll start off with the good bits. The ambience, and the wait staff. It was impeccably clean, sanitised, with a very appealing aesthetic. Ample number of screens for whichever sport you want to watch. Sports memorabilia adorn the walls, making it a really excellent looking sports bar. The staff are attentive and polite, and don't seem to miss a beat. So far so good. That's where it ends, sadly. The menu is absurdly limited, especially considering - a)this is a sports bar and b) it is in the JW Marriott. They had about 10 or 12 beers in total (tap+bottle) and out of that they had one missing. Even the spirits list is small , almost IKEA-esque in its minimalism. The food makes for an even poorer showing. We ordered chicken wings, and one of two things is true - either they took the wings from a very young and small sized chicken, or these particular chickens were in the latter phases of a newfangled diet. I now know what the prospectors in the late 1800s felt like, wearying ourselves to find that valuable nugget. Absolutely farcical to call that "chicken wings". I even made a note of that to the very polite and empathetic wait staff who tended to us. Clearly this is out of his control but he did seem to understand the point we were making. I must emphasize again, the menu here as well - far too small for a restaurant of this stature. At the end of the day, the damages came to 32 OMR - inclusive of 2 beers, 1 plate of "wings" and 2 sliders. I use the word damages deliberately. I so want to like this place, but one expects more from a place like this. In a town where good hangouts are sparse, new spots like these need to offer something different, and give us folks something to gush over. To be honest, I'd even be hard-pressed to say they offer more of the same. They offer less.
