I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time now. Their menu looks incredible. However the first time I went was in early June. I sat for more than 15 minutes without even being acknowledged. There were only 3 or 4 tables and most had nothing and were eagerly awaiting service. I couldn’t wait any longer so I went to Loui’s across the street. Today I went again. A little better at first. I got coffee, but no cream for several minutes. The waiter made several trips all over the place bringing only one thing at a time instead of thinking ahead and making fewer trips. There was only one other table with people seated. He looked disorganized and disheveled. My coffee was lukewarm and not very good coffee. I ordered corned beef hash and eggs. After 15 minutes or more with no warm up for my coffee, I was told they could not make the corned beef hash and eggs. Once again I had to go across the street to Loui’s to eat. I want to support local business. But the service hast to improve here otherwise they cannot last. Their menu looks awesome. I will give them one more chance. After that, sorry. My husband and I had the most awful experience that I have ever had with a restaurant restaurant. First the waiter couldn't understand what we wanted. He gave us one menu. Secondly I wanted apple cinnamon chicken and waffles 🧇. He brought my husband's order waffles but I don't know what part of the chicken it was. I told him I wanted wings with mine. He then tells me there out of apples. I ordered pecan waffles, again they are out of pecan. I get a plain waffles. The owners wife comes out stating her husband left with a catering order and took most of the food and she told him not to take our order. Upon getting our receipt for the food which was hand written, they tried to over charge. The menu that was given had a different price from what they tried to charge. I asked to see the menu again it was a different price. I mentioned that all exchanges were argumentative. We wanted to pay with credit card only to be told cash only. Told we can use the ATM or one of us can stay while my husband goes to the bank. By now I'm boiling 😤. The owner wife and whomever was working with her they both were very rude, nasty disrespectful. They took me there. Upon leaving we saw Lenell the owner I tried to explain my experience he was apologetic but I will never go back. In still angry 😠 Food: 3 Service: 1
The most incredible jerk skillet I’ve ever had! The shrimp and grits was also phenomenal. It required some patience to wait for our food but it was well worth it. Just so you know this is a real review, not everything in our order was perfect; we were fine with that. Please visit this restaurant so they stay in business! The food is amazing. Just give yourself extra time. Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I've been trying to eat here for s while and finally I was able to get in. 1st I was thrown off by the incenses burning in a food service area, it gave me a headache. The tables are covered in plastic sheets from dollar tree with sticky stuff. And the glasses of water brought to us had something black on it like grease it something. Finally, our food comes but one by one which should not happen everything should come out altogether. We had to wait for everything to come out so we can eat together. Our drinks never appeared and they are limited to brands no raspberry iced tea,(I like raspberry iced tea with my breakfast) make sure u ask for a cup with ice they just give u a can. My Bob the builder skillet did have added items I did not want like onions and green peppers but I ate it and it wasn't that bad. I really enjoyed my meal. My daughter's order was messed up also they added cheese on the eggs we didn't ask for. I would like to go back but I hope they don't have incense burning. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

First time trying...probably the last. Ordered delivery which took forever - the delivery driver was very nice and explained the chaos at the restaurant because she was waiting forever for the food. With all that time, I'm thinking I would have hot fresh food. The Biscuit was cold and hard like a Hockey Puck. Couldn't even bite it. The presentation of the food looked like left overs and was cold. Ordered coffee and a bottled water and was told they didn't have either. Breakfast ruined! It’s saddens me to write this review because I would love nothing more than to praise and support a black owned business. But, my disappointment and the quality of food I received will not allow me to let another person waste their money. I gave them one star because the cashier/waitress was nice. I ordered Shrimp and Grits and a 2x2x2 for my son. Nothing was seasoned. It was as if they boiled shrimp, laid them on top of the grits and covered it all in gravy. My son received one egg (instead of 2). They were suppose to be scrambled with cheese, there was no cheese. That I paid one dollar extra for. And the pancakes 🤯 crumbled as soon as we touched them. It was as if they were made with corn meal. My pancake wasn’t cooked all the way through in the center. NEVER AGAIN
An absolute hidden gem! The service is just as great as the food. I felt like I stopped by my grandma’s house for brunch. They are welcoming and personable. And the FOOD!!! The food is delicious and plentiful. I ordered the shrimp and grits with chicken andouille sausage. There was meat and FLAVOR in every spoonful. This is definitely my new favorite place! We waited 2 hours for delivery (our driver was waiting in there for 45 of those minutes). We were missing 3 side orders, but repeated calls were not answered. I hate leaving negative reviews, but their is no other way to contact them. My friend ordered 45 mins after me and his food came before mine and I’m 2 miles closer. I really want to like this place, because of their menu. They need to limit orders if they are unable to fill them in a timely manner. I waited 2 hours and this is what showed up. Ain’t nothing easy about the way those over easy eggs were flipped.
The food was so flavorful, everything was delicious and fresh. Friendly, family environment. We drove from Aurora and it was worth every mile!
