Don’t let any bad reviews fool you away from this place. I have had many different experiences with Mexican food. Not that fake American kind they like to call real. This right here is real. It is cooked by a wonderful lady who puts her love into the food and it taste amazing. It has a unique taste to it. Different from all other places. Best salsas I have tried in along time. Best enchiladas I’ve had in a long time. Meal type Other Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Best tamales! Authentic, just delicious. The hot sauce too, fresh and so much flavor. We stopped in getting gas heading towards Ohio, glad we we hungry 😋

Food is good, portion size was my problem. Spent over 40 dollars and everyone was still hungry. Rice and beans were not full. And each steak taco had more tortilla than anything. Kind of like taco bells. Horchata is great, and shrimp tacos were great. Meal type Dinner Price per person $1–10 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I've had nothing but good experiences and great food in all the years that I've been eating here. Family owned, fantastic food! A downriver gem! Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

Three of us stopped into Burrito Express for a quiet sit down meal. Each of us ordered something different from the menu, a Mexican sandwich, taco dinner and a burrito. The waitress was very friendly and helpful when it came to answering questions we had about the menu. The food was prepared promptly and served quickly. The chips and mild salsa were delicious, especially the guacamole salsa that was served with the chips. It had some spiciness to eat and was enjoyed by husband who does even eat avocados. I got a chunky beef Mexican sandwich that was cooked perfectly. The chunks of beef were tender, juicy and full of flavor. The elote we had was absolutely delicious and we found out after we left, tastes even better with corn chips. The portions sizes were big, the prices were fair and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The marinated pork tacos were excellent and the burrito was very filling. Quick friendly service. The best part was it looked like somebody's grandma was in back cooking. You can't beat that.
Chips and salsa decent. Quac not so much wasnt fresh. Tacos were nice portion, cooked super fast, and meat cooked perfect. I Tried chicken, steak, and carnita. Only complaint is not much flavor... little bland. Id rather go to mexican town and hit a taco truck on my way back next time. Posting this hoping they will get better and add some seasoning to meat
This place is not too bad if you want a quick Mexican bite. It’s still relatively new so there is a hit and a miss. The price, however, is incredible and almost a steal. Worth getting if you call ahead during lunch at work and want something to keep you full.

The ladies that work there are very sweet.❤️ That's why I gave 2 stars. Unfortunately the food lacked flavor. Everything was bland, not what I am used to from Mexican food. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Burrito

Ordered 35 dollars worth of food, and they didn't give me any mild sauce... smh. And the guacamole was brown so I just tossed it in the trash. Probably won't order from here again. Service Delivery Food: 2
