We booked the private room for my Mom’s 82nd birthday. She had a year of health issues and has recovered. This was a very big reason to celebrate. The day before the event Burnt Toast called in the mid afternoon and told us that we were not going to have the private room. The room was double booked. Someone on staff was having their baby shower in the room. We were told if we moved our party to 8:30 or 9 am we could have the private room. This was not possible to change plus it was too late in the day to call around to different breakfast places because they were closed for the day so moving our group of 25 to a different venue was not possible. We were also told we didn’t leave a deposit for the private room. We were NEVER asked for a deposit. We were also asked if we were the group with a person named Anna. No one in our group was named Anna. We arrived today and there was a large table for us. But wasn’t enough room. 4 people had to sit at a booth close by. The entire 2 hours we were there, THE PRIVATE ROOM WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY. I receive emails from Burnt Toast advertising their private room. I guess it’s so private no one is allowed to use it. We found this experience disappointing and confusing. The food and server was good. Can’t fault the kitchen. But the management seems questionable. I got the special pancakes which I believe were pumpkin and they were very good and it was huge. I did get a side of hash browns and ended up only being able to eat half the pancake. I also had a pumpkin latte coffee and it was very good as well. This place has fancy coffees which some places do not. I have tried almost all breakfast restaurants in the area. So far this one was the worst. Great servers and atmosphere but the food is bad. I ordered 4 different dishes and the crepes definitely the worst I ever had. I just couldn’t believe how bad they were. And the rest is with no salt, paper or sugar. The food is simple with no taste. Very disappointed in this place. I was expecting everything to be delicious but I left disappointed and upset.
