I’m a regular at Burly’s simply because it is so chill, the beers are awesome and Miss Lisa is a super individual. Today my buddy Tim and I paid a visit and I tried the Peggy O Coconut Stout…so goooooood! This stout is just a step above any I have tried! Did I mention our charming Beertender, Celeste? She was such fun to talk to and hang out with. Can’t recommend Burly’s highly enough.
Got this glass at Oktoberfest because all the bartenders kept selling me if you bring it back, you’ll get a 20 oz pour for the price of 16 oz. That’s actually really smart for a brewery. I took a picture of a pour the other day…definitely not 20 oz. It may not have even been 16 oz. It wasn’t busy but the bartender wanted to focus more on her conversations with the owner and a few others at the bar versus pouring a beer correctly. Please train the bartenders to take their time on a correct pour. Otherwise, this is by far and away the best brewery in Castle Rock!!! (Even if the owners that sit at the bar give us mean looks for this review)
Amazing brewery and awesome staff! I had the pleasure of having a spontaneous dj set at the brewery after the Army/Air Force game in Denver. At the Bolt Brotherhood tailgate, they provided the beer while I provided the djing. We agreed it would be fun to continue the music at their brewery after the game. We showed up, we dj'd, and we had amazing beer! Everyone had a great time and we look forward to more events with your team. FYI, try the Coconut Stout and the Watermelon Kolsch!
Hidden Gem and much needed place to sit and relax with the family mid-week and enjoy great beer (met the Brewmaster, Bill, and the Owner, Lisa who were both fun to talk to about the place, it’s history and their upcoming plans for a new series of beers! 4 brand new IPA’s coming out within weeks - we can hardly wait!).
Food truck was delicious and we found out they have a nice rotation of food truck choices as well as plans to open a delicatessen this coming Winter (can you say Reuben???!!!).
Burly hosts a variety of events and parties and looks like a great place to plan a celebration. Trivia every week, and live music on the weekend.
We have definitely found our new place to hang out.
