We've been driving by this place for years now, and finally went to it. The food here is excellent, when I want a good burger, this is what I mean. Patties are third-pound on their deluxe burger, but you can order any deluxe burger as a smaller deluxe burger, with a 1/6 pound patty for smaller appetites. Toppings are fresh and menu options are pretty varied for a burger joint. Onion rings are an upcharge and breaded, but they're crispy and well-prepared - not slimy like some can be. Milkshakes are solid, and better than most of what you can get around Federal Way. Tried the house special sauce, and it was very good. Their fry sauce looked solid, and I'm excited to give it a try next time. Absolutely will be returning here, and very soon. This is sorta far out for us, but I won't hesitate to order from or eat here. We dined in, but there is a drive thru. If you're over 6', be careful around the door and eaves of the building. Food: I ordered the California Burger with a side of Chicken Tenders. The burger was AMAZING and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients on the burger. Fries were good and was done the way I enjoyed. Seasoning wasn't overpowering, but if you like your fries salty, you're gonna want to order them that way. Chicken Tenders were delicious and were fried to perfection. The batter wasn't overkill, the meat was still juicy, and the seasoning was perfect to where I didn't need any dipping sauce. However, if you're a sauce person, I would imagine that the sauce would only enhance the overall experience of the tenders. Service: Simple and Excellent. If it's your first time at Burger Express, the workers there will make sure you feel at home. They stay out of the way enough where they're not hindering your experience, but they're also around at just the right moment when you need them. 10/10 RECOMMEND! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
