This is one of my new favorite restaurants. The food is awesome! The service is top tier! I have not ordered one item that I did not absolutely love! The specials are delectable and brilliantly described by the waiter. Dessert is excellent. Added Bonus: BYOB. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Firstly, the restaurant was impeccably clean and the staff was friendly. We had octopus salad and fried calamari to start. Both were outstanding! Then we tried several dishes, chicken parmigiana, chicken marsala and seafood liquini. All dishes were seasoned well, rich delicious sauces and they came out quickly. Additionally, we had a pork chop dish on a bed of scalloped potatoes with seasonal vegetables and mushroom sauce. Wow, chop was tender and delicious! If you are in the area,it is a must stop. If you are not in the area, it is still a must stop! Be sure to call ahead for reservations.

Came here July 2. The place looks amazing. Very high class. Our waiters were great, friendly and extremely knowledgable about the menu. We ordered the calamari and Cesar salad to start: calamari crisp to perfection, the marinara sauces was super fresh and tasty. The house made Cesar dressing was amazing. Our chicken and pasta with mushrooms was delicious. But the best part was their lamb shank, slow cooked and amazing tender. Best Italian food I've had, period. I can not wait to come eat here again soon!

I ordered chicken marsala. It was a huge chicken breast cutlet covered in a terribly bland brown gravy and canned mushrooms. I expected much better for a $30 dinner. Maybe the pasta is better idk. I'm shocked at the high reviews after my experience. I ate a few bites and threw it away. You can't be taken seriously as a restaurant while using canned mushrooms. Kennett Square is right down the road. My vegetables and potato blob were swimming in the awful gravy too which i also suspect came from a can. No butter for the store bought bread. Diner food at best that I paid a fortune to have delivered. Very disappointed.

Buona Sera Havertown has become a favorite of mine! I’m there about once per week. The food is always excellent! The service is very friendly (led by Dario and Rene). This is a can’t miss place!! I’m counting the days to my next dinner there.

Firstly, they should make the customers aware beforehand to BRlNG CASH unless they want to be overcharged. I’ve never seen a restaurant give a “cash total” and then a significantly higher “credit card total” found that extremely ridiculous, and if they must do it should definitely be known beforehand. Other than that - Far from authentic. Overpriced for basic food. Couldn’t have been more disappointed trying this place for the first time. We’ve heard amazing things so had high expectations and now l’m thinking havertown doesn’t know good food if this place is considered authentic and delicious. Food was very subpar, we were served completely RAW meatballs, (how do you mess up meatballs), salad dressing was supposed to be balsamic and everyone at the table agreed it tasted like some type of mustard?, Caesar salad had no croutons; just lettuce, dressing, cheese, and a random pepper? Would never go back but l am truly wondering what we are missing why this place has rave reviews.

It's average restaurant-quality Italian priced above average. I went on a date last Saturday night. Inside the restaurant is a bit noisy. We were seated very close to our reservation time. The wait staff was nice. We asked for plain water and were brought a $7 bottle of Pellegrino by the bus boy..... it appeared this is a common / forced upsell at every table.
The food was just OK, and professionally prepared. The fried calamari was just like any other place. For entrees, we had a swordfish special and the veal scallop cardinale. The veal was a bit overdone, but flavorful. Both served with a small scoop of mashed potatoes and zucchini.
On the plus side, the portion size was a good meal. Neither of us felt overly full. That being said, I would expect more for each entree plate being $30 and $40.
The food is good, but it's not amazingly good, and it is overpriced for the locale and dining experience.
If you are decent cook, treat yourself to fresh quality ingredients and make a nice diner at home.

This place exceeded our expectations in every way. Our server was professional, prompt, but not overbearing at all… he was professional and friendly. The food was great and the portions were very generous. It was a last second decision to go here and we will definitely be back many times after this experience!!
